Cate Blanchett lived up to her queenly name and glided like royalty down the green carpet at last night’s UK premiere of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.’
Cate shut it down in a Givenchy Spring 2013 open-backed, long-sleeved gown with gold metal bar shoulder accents.
Everything could’ve ended here, but once we saw pictures of her in motion, we found out that she actually had more up her sleeve (or, shall we say, under her dress’ split?).

Cate Blanchett appeared to have on a pair of plain strappy sandals in pictures of her just standing, but then she started walking, and we got a glimpse of those cone heels. After that, we could not get enough of them.
Here are more pictures of Cate Blanchett’s fabulous shoes and more angles of her fierce dress:

Aussie actress Cate Blanchett, who portrays Elf Galadriel in the franchise, paired the gown with a white clutch and clear vinyl and leather sandals.
Contrary to what many might think, Cate Blanchett’s graceful entrance in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was not aided by any rotating platform or props. The actress achieved that delicate turn purely through her own movement.
Remarkably, even though she appeared in all three Hobbit films, Blanchett’s on-set presence spanned just eight days of the entire production.

She sported a simple chignon with a peachy blush and pink lip shade.

The YNS community has a love-hate relationship with clear shoes, but Cate Blanchett’s Givenchy Spring 2013 sandals look like they’ll sit favorably with you:

Love or hate? We want to know!

Though for plastic + wood + metal + leather shoes, they’re extremely pricey at $3,173. Better start saving up those coins!
