When Charlize Theron hosted the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) fundraiser in New York City on November 12, 2019, she combined high-fashion impact with her long-standing commitment to South African youth.
Theron founded the organization in 2007 to provide health and safety resources for adolescents, a mission she connects directly to her heritage.
“The spirit of Ubuntu, which means, ‘I am because we are,’ and South Africa have really shaped who I am today,” Theron shared at the event. “Our goal is to make sure that every adolescent stays safe and HIV free.”

For the fundraiser, Charlize opted for a custom Christian Dior Fall 2019 Haute Couture strapless mini dress. The shimmering frock features a baroque print with intricate fringing along the sides and hem.
According to InStyle Magazine, the craftsmanship behind the gold Dior dress required 1,200 hours of work.

The Monster actress wore her pixie cut in a slicked, side-parted style, accentuating her features with soft smoky eyeshadow and a nude lip.

Styled by Leslie Fremar, Charlize accessorized with Ana Khouri jewels and a Breitling watch with a black strap that matched her nails.
She showed off her pretty feet and a small blue flower foot tattoo in gold Dior sandals with double-adjustable ankle straps, a high back, open toes, and about 4-inch heels.

Charlize Theron Accepts the Rebel Award in a Sculptural Givenchy Gown and White Sandals
That same month, Charlize was honored with the Rebel Award at the 2019 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City.
She took to the stage in a glamorous Givenchy Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019 white gown as she accepted the award.
“We need to help the hard-hearted to empathize with others. Like sexual assault survivors, people living with AIDS, our trans community, children who are different or who have special needs,” she said during her emotional speech.
“The women in this room tonight are putting themselves on the front line of the empathy battle, be it through storytelling, creating opportunities for those that need it most, or just unabashedly being yourself and telling other women we don’t have to apologize for who and what we are,” she added.

The Monster star stole the spotlight in a white mermaid-style number featuring a structured strapless bodice. It also has a feather-detailed fitted skirt with a trendy trumpet hem.

Beauty-wise, she had her slicked-back blonde pixie cut with a deep side part, while her face was beautifully made-up with pink lipstick and dark liner.

She added a hint of sparkle to her look with several diamond earrings and a silver clutch. To complete her pure white ensemble, she slipped into a pair of white Givenchy sandals with asymmetrical straps.
