Strangely enough, some of the most recognizable faces are people whose names you may not know at all, like Katie McCarty.
Katie McCarty is an actress who has been working in the business for roughly seven years and has a number of titles to her name, such as appearances in Gym Rats, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Romance at Reindeer Lodge, Rachel Dratch’s Late Night Snack, A Very Nutty Christmas, and Younger.

Of course, you’d remember her from a spot in a J.G. Wentworth commercial (who can forget that insanely catchy jingle? 877-Cash-Now!).

She’s also done commercials for brands like Certain Dri, BMW, Desert Financial, Raymour & Flanigan, and more.
In fact, Katie McCarty has appeared in so many commercials that her commercial reel (which you can watch below) is almost four minutes long. Not bad!
However, Katie McCarty is more than just a commercial actress. According to an interview with Obvious Path, her dream growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was initially to move to New York City to work as a musical theater star on Broadway, but soon realized that might not be the best career move.
Still, she has performed in a number of stage shows both Off Broadway (and off-off Broadway), in legendary roles such as Eponine in Les Miserables, Liesl in The Sound of Music, and even performed as Belle in Beauty & The Beast at Walt Disney World.

Though she spends the majority of time on the small screen, Katie McCarty still manages to spend time doing what she loves with a very famous friend.
She and legendary Broadway performer and film actor Jonathan Groff (Frozen, Glee, Mindhunter) appear to be very close, as he often makes appearances on her Instagram page. Earlier this year, Lea Michele famously showed him her vagina.
Sometimes McCarty and Groff appear just to hang out, but they often go to see Broadway shows together, like The Music Man and Is This A Room. They’ve even joined forces to help teach students about the arts!

Surprisingly, these two have been friends for ages, as both Jonathan Groff and Katie McCarty attended Conestoga Valley High School together (and performed side-by-side on the high school theater stage). Too cute!
Though we often see Katie McCarty in commercial acting spots, according to her IMDb, she has recently worked on projects like a short called Swiped Out and a pilot episode for a series called Live from the Drive.
