A lot of people are hating on Dakota Johnson for taking on the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of E. L. James’ best-selling novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

To be honest, we are also still trying to get used to the idea of her in the role. She just doesn’t seem like “Ana” material.

But then again, Dakota could prove as all wrong once the movie comes out. The actress’ Elle magazine cover for March clearly indicates that she isn’t afraid to get naughty while playing nice. Even more intriguing are the editorial shots showcasing Dakota in racy outfits that will surely get Mr. Grey, er, very excited.

This is Dakota’s first fashion glossy cover, and judging from the looks of it, it won’t be her last. The Elle pictures were very well directed and tastefully done. We also couldn’t help but notice that besides the sexy poses, Dakota was also styled fabulously in exquisite designer garb — complete with big-name heels to go with.

For the cover, Dakota wears a stunning John Galliano bonded dress, black thigh-high Donna Karan Signature Collection stockings, and Manolo Blahnik ankle-strap sandals in red suede.

It’s a little hard to figure out which particular style of Manolo Blahnik heels Dakota is wearing in the cover shot since the picture is cropped. However, we are willing to bet that they’re the “Chaos” — the really tall versions with 4.5-inch-tall heels.

We couldn’t find the red variant online, but here’s a two-tone rendition in suede and leather:

Another editorial photo shows Dakota wearing an embellished lace trench coat and a pair of rubber t-strap sandals from Burberry Prorsum as she flaunts her legs in lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings.

Below are two other colors of the Burberry Prorsum vinyl t-bar sandals Dakota is wearing in the photo above. They feature 4.5-inch heels, suede insoles, and very thin ankle straps.

You will also find a few more shots of the actress flaunting her chest (and midriff) in Elle’s issue next month. She’s wearing simple but sexy cropped tops (or are those brassieres?) while sporting lace-and-satin pumps from Christian Louboutin.

Again, the shoe style is hard to identify with these pics alone, but feel free to check out the candidates we’re considering — the “Pigalace” in lace and satin. These pumps feature 4-inch-high satin-covered heels and see-through lace uppers. They also retail at a hefty $795.

Worn with stockings, they will definitely look very lingerie (and bedroom)-appropriate.

So, what do you think, people? Now that you’ve seen these photos of Dakota all sexy and stylish, can you now imagine her as Anastasia Steele? Is she or is she not “Ana” material? Or do you still think someone else would have been more suited for the role?
