Emma Stone started the year strong by winning a Golden Globe for “La La Land.” We’re not surprised. The movie was so good that Emma continues to reap the benefits. She took home another award for the flick, beating out other Hollywood giants such as Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams and Emily Blunt.
The 28-year-old actress won the title “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Lead Role” at the 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards held in Los Angeles.

Emma stunned in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress that mixed the designer’s edgy style with a lot of femininity. The dress had a flowy, floral-embroidered skirt that draped from one shoulder, revealing a lace bodice that was reminiscent of a corset.
The actress finished her look with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and a pair of Jimmy Choo “Minny” sandals.
Emma’s favorite: the actress turns to her trusty Jimmy Choo “Minny” sandals for the 2017 SAG Awards.
Emma shows off her trophy at the press room
As eloquent as she was at the Golden Globes, the actress seemed overwhelmed as she took the stage to accept her award. Emma shared that she becomes insecure and implied that she thinks her work doesn’t make a difference. However, when she looks at the room filled with people reflecting back creative work to society, she feels honored to be a part of it.
Emma also shared that when she first moved to Los Angeles, she would get a lot of auditions but no callback. For a long period of time, agents would stop sending her out for auditions. Just like her “La La Land” character, however, she persevered.
