We’ve come to expect big ball gowns at the press tours of princess movies, and Emma Watson did not disappoint at the “Beauty and the Beast” London premiere last night.

The 26-year-old actress made her grand entrance on the grass carpet in a custom Emilia Wickstead gown. She swished the faux snow sprinkles around with the long, dramatic cape attached to her back. On her feet were Manolo Blahnik “Chaos” sandals in metallic silver that complemented the ice-blue color of her dress.

Though Emma’s ensemble is not as princess-y as, say, Lily James’ at the “Cinderella” world premiere or Elle Fanning’s at the “Maleficent” London reception, what’s remarkable about her gown is that it is constructed out of unwanted fabric pieces. Instead of being just thrown out, the fabric was salvaged and given new life in the form of Emma Watson’s Emilia Wickstead gown. Emma has vowed to wear and promote only eco-friendly, sustainable, and ethical fashion throughout the “Beauty and the Beast” press tour, and, for that, we admire her.
