Several big designer names have joined the “Go Green” bandwagon, including Stella McCartney, Victoria’s Secret, and H&M.

We really appreciate the fashion industry’s effort to clean up their acts, but one designer has a very unconventional take on green fashion.

Young designer Kristen Alyce created the Florida-based brand Garbage Gone Glam, which features dresses and accessories made from garbage.

They are fashioned to look like typical dresses but are made using recycled materials, like thrown-away drink cartons, concert tickets, leaflets, plastic wrappers, and magazine pages.

These dresses are seriously head-turning with their patchwork design and multicolor prints.

They look like the Derelicte collection from Zoolander and might actually work in costume parties and other quirky events.

The only problem is that they are all super expensive—$500 a pop for dressier pieces and $1,500 for the whole collection! Would you actually splurge on “garbage glam” dresses like these? Or is this just plain ridiculous?
