In January 2020, Art of Elysium hosted its 13th Annual Heaven Gala at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
The theme, Heaven Is Rock and Roll, was curated by this year’s chosen visionaries: Kii Arens, a contemporary graphic artist and pop artist, and Linda Perry and Kerry Brown, multiplatinum producers and co-founders of record label/music publisher/artist management company We Are Hear.
Ashley Hinshaw and Topher Grace were honored with the Spirit of Elysium award for their generous support of the organization. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the organization’s programs and services.

Surviving members of the iconic American rock band Nirvana reunited at the benefit. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear performed a 5-song set of their hits, with St. Vincent, Beck, and Dave’s 13-year-old daughter Violet Grohl on vocals to fill in for the late Kurt Cobain.
They played “Lithium” with St. Vincent; “In Bloom” and “Been a Son” with Beck; and “Heart-Shaped Box” with Violet. The evening closed with a performance of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World,” featuring Beck on vocals and St. Vincent on guitar.
The charity event brought together a bevy of celebrities from various industries, and, fashion-wise, they did not disappoint. While mostly dressed in glam rock style, some opted for awards show-worthy gowns.
Check out some of the interesting and best looks on the black carpet.
1. Bella Hadid Channels Inner Catwoman in Tommy x Zendaya
Bella Hadid embraced the night’s rock and roll theme, wearing a three-piece leather suit from Tommy x Zendaya’s collection. The Catwoman-like outfit included a low-cut waistcoat, a tailored blazer, and wide-leg pants.
She posed alongside her best friend, fashion designer Jesse Jo Stark, who also opted for an all-black outfit, wearing a pin-striped pantsuit and platform shoes.

Bella looked hot in winged cat-eye makeup, bronzed smoky eyeshadow, and shimmery lipstick. Her short hair was styled in a sleek half-up, half-down style with a center parting.

For her accessories, Bella amped up the rock-and-roll vibe with a diamond-encrusted chain choker necklace, diamond earrings, and several rings.
She also carried a silver cylindrical handbag and slipped into square-toe, croc-embossed platform boots.

2. Luna Blaise Goes for Vintage Glam in Norma Kamali
Manifest star Luna Blaise wore a glam look masterminded by stylist Amanda Lim. The actress wore a vintage Norma Kamali dress, which features black crystals with transparent crystal trims and a feathered hem.

She paired the look with a selection of jewelry, including Beladora Jewelry heart earrings and a necklace from Shay Fine Jewelry.
Hairstylist Gabi Lopez styled Luna’s shoulder-length tresses in a flipped hairstyle inspired by the ’60s. Makeup artist Katrina Klein then highlighted her eyes with shimmery purple smoky eyeshadow, eyeliner, and false eyelashes.
She also applied a swipe of rose-colored lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury and a hint of color on her cheeks.

Luna showed off her feet in Alevi Milano strappy sandals to complete the look.

3. Marisol Nichols Gets Leggy in Acler Mini Dress
Marisol Nichols, aka Hermoine Lodge of the CW drama series Riverdale, arrived in a mini dress from the Australian label Acler.
The 46-year-old actress showed off her toned legs in the navy blue satin number. It features a loose-fitting, softly pleated bodice with long bell sleeves, a semi-high neck, and a thigh-grazing straight hem.

Hairstylist Ricardo Rojas pulled her tresses back into a high ponytail with a center-parted fringe to frame her face. She wore dark mascara, eyeliner, a hint of peachy eyeshadow, and a swipe of peach lip gloss to highlight her features.

Marisol kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing only a pair of Ricardo Basta long-drop earrings and Tamara Mellon sandals.

Called ‘Frontline,’ these sandals feature clear PVC accents on the slender leather straps. They also have back zip fastenings and about 4-inch heels.

4. Ali Larter Breaks Rules in Raisa Vanessa
Ali Larter looked pretty in a pink mini dress from the Istanbul-based Haute Couture label Raisa Vanessa.
The mother-of-two managed to avoid a wardrobe malfunction in the revealing décolletage-baring outfit. Breaking the cleavage or legs rule, Ali showed both in the asymmetrical mini with a plunging neckline and a ruffled thigh-grazing hem.
It also has large rose petal details, a single puff shoulder, and a crystal-embellished belt accent that helped accentuate her figure.

To complement her girly frock, makeup artist Georgie Eisdell applied pink lip gloss, a hint of blush, glittery purple eyeshadow, and mascara. She styled her blonde locks straight with a center parting and tucked behind her ears.

A pair of diamond drop earrings, several diamond rings, and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals rounded out her look.

5. Abigail Spencer Unleashes Wild Side in Halston Dress
Abigail Spencer, who leads the cast in the new Hulu series Reprisal, unleashed her wild side in a zebra-striped dress. Her Halston mini frock is embellished with holographic-colored sequins topped with black sequins in zebra stripes.

She wore her tresses in tousled waves to amp up the fierce look and put on a swipe of red lipstick with black mascara, eyeliner, and a hint of glittery eyeshadow.

She paired the look with black accessories, including drop earrings, a black clutch, and black sandals with black crystal embellishments.

6. Jasmine Sanders Stands Out in Maison Met Gown
Fashion influencer Jasmine Sanders, aka Golden Barbie, was one of the few celebrities who opted for a gown. She made her presence felt in an ombre plissé gown by Maison Met.
It’s a one-shoulder number with a sexy backless design and a risky hip-high slit that allows her to showcase her legs.

Allowing her dress to do the talking, stylist Sammy K. accessorized Jasmine’s look with simple jewelry. She wore a pair of black studs by Anabela Chan, and a selection of Le Vian rings.
The German-American model teamed her elaborate gown with a classic pair of Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, which showed her corny feet.

The Zogalis twins, Chrissy and Lisa, beautified the model. They pulled her hair up into a neat bun away from her face, which was beautifully made with pink lipstick, mascara, bronzed eyeshadow, and well-defined eyebrows.

7. Amy Smart Is Modest in a Floral Dress
Ali Larter’s Varsity Blues co-star Amy Smart went the modest route in a blue-green floral dress. It features a high neck with a keyhole detail, billowy sleeves, a ruched cinched waist, and a softly pleated skirt that fell a couple of inches above her knees.

She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and left a few strands to frame her face. Makeup artist Drea V. applied pink lipstick on the actress and accentuated her eyes with kohl-rimmed eyeliner and subtle smoky eyeshadow.

To finish her look, Amy accessorized with statement earrings and slipped into pearl-encrusted black sandals. The Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudistpearls’ sandals feature the brand’s signature Nudist style updated with pearl embellishments.

8. Audrina Patridge Leaves Little to Imagination in Steven Khalil Gown
The Hills’ Audrina Patridge sure knows how to work a red carpet, and last week’s gala was no different as she turned heads in a see-through Steven Khalil 2017 Couture gown.

Leaving little to the imagination, Audrina put on a busty display, wearing just a pair of lacy black underpants underneath her sheer embellished gown. She then threw a black leather jacket over her shoulders and accessorized with silver hoop earrings and several rings.
Audrina furthered the glam-rock vibe with smoky eye makeup, dark mascara, eyeliner, and pink lipstick. Her long blonde curls rounded out her look.
