She showed off the gap in her teeth that has made her distinctive smile famous. In 2012, she discussed her teeth in an interview with New York Magazine.

When she first auditioned for Mad Men, it was to play the prostitute who slaps Don in the face during sex, in season four. While Paré did not get the role, Mad Men creator Matt Weiner called her back for another role thanks to her tooth gap.

Weiner found himself drawn to Paré’s gap-toothed smile. Her teeth are so distinctive he even wrote a scene in which Megan recalls being told she could never be an actress because of them. Paré doesn’t understand all the fuss. ‘I forget about them because they’re in my face and they do their job just great. I never get anything stuck in them.’ (For the record, the camera must add ten pounds to each tooth, because in person she’s a knockout.)

The 34-year-old Canadian actress and singer came dressed in a little black dress from Safiyaa London that she styled with a pair of black metal jewel-embellished suede pumps from Nicholas Kirkwood.

Jessica Paré gave birth to her first child on March 19 earlier the same year. The little boy is named Blues Anthony Paré Kastner. As you may know, her husband is Canadian musician and composer John Kastner.

The glittering pumps that Jessica wore at the screening can be found at Farfetch and Saks. They feature 2.75″ (70mm) self-covered heels and geometric metal jewels.

In October 2018, she once again showed off her teeth while attending the 2018 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in an Alice + Olivia Fall 2018 floral print dress and black pumps.

She also discussed her teeth and why she didn’t get them fixed in a 2012 interview with Vulture Magazine.

It’s funny, I get self-conscious when people talk about them, but I forget about them because they’re in my face so they do their job just great for the most part.

I didn’t want to have braces when I was a kid and I’m pretty sure my dad didn’t want to pay for them.
