From casual chic to androgynous tailoring to full-on femme glamour, Heidi Klum has never been one to box herself into a single style lane. Back in 2017 — at 44 — the supermodel proved age has nothing to do with pulling off a look often reserved for Hollywood’s fresh-faced twenty-somethings.

Stepping onto America’s Got Talent season 12 live finals red carpet, Klum radiated the kind of confidence and polish that comes only with years of fashion experience — and still managed to look like she’d barely aged a day.

The model chose a satin cowl-neck dress from Vatanika’s Resort 2018 collection, designed by Thai fashion talent Vatanika Patamasingh. It is inspired by the elegance and fluidity of dance — and rooted in the designer’s childhood memories of her grandparents’ joyful moments on the dance floor.

Blending modern and classic elements, Vatanika’s pieces are crafted to empower women, celebrating confidence and inner beauty through wearable, feminine designs. While the dress shimmered with effortless grace in the lookbook, its drape and fit on Heidi didn’t quite capture the same magic.

Not that Heidi looked bad in it — she is a supermodel after all — but because the bodice fitted slightly strangely, gaping around the model’s top half and making Heidi’s gorgeous proportions look awkward.

Heidi finished the look with the “Mary” sandals by Alexandre Birman, the Brazilian footwear designer who serves as chief executive of Arezzo & Co., one of Brazil’s largest shoe empires.

Born on October 1, 1976, Birman launched his namesake luxury label in 2008, earning a reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and the use of premium materials — from exotic skins like snakeskin, crocodile, lizard, and ostrich to supple leathers, rich suedes, and handpicked crystals.

His vibrant, detail-driven designs — spanning sandals, heels, flats, and boots — have won over celebrity fans such as Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Campbell, and Eva Longoria.

While Birman’s creations are celebrated for elevating any ensemble, the floppy bow detail of Heidi’s “Mary” sandals competed with the fluid draping of her Vatanika dress. A more structured sandal could have balanced the look, giving the satin gown a sharper, more refined finish.

Despite the carelessly tossed-together outfit, Heidi’s high pony was cute. We understand where her outfit was trying to go, but the execution didn’t quite pan out.

Backstage, Heidi chatted about the live show glitches, exclaiming, “What didn’t go wrong?”

Heidi praised AGT host Tyra Banks for keeping it together despite the major glitches. The model also discussed the altercation that occurred between Mel B. and Simon Cowell.
