Iggy Azalea and Nick Young were once one of the most talked-about couples in Hollywood. The Australian rapper and the Los Angeles Lakers guard started dating in 2013 and got engaged in 2015.
Their relationship has a backstory that traces back to 2013 when they first met at a pool party, but initially, Iggy Azalea wasn’t fond of Nick Young.
Shortly thereafter, things turned when Nick openly expressed his admiration for her in a tweet, piquing Azalea’s interest.

However, their relationship hit a rough patch in 2016 when Young was caught on video talking about being with other women. Azalea called off their engagement shortly after.
“Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him – It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to,” she wrote on Instagram in June 2016.
The video was secretly recorded by his former Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell. “I feel as sick as possible,” Russell later said during a press conference. “I wish I could make things better right away, but I can’t.”
“I take full blame for recording the video and doing that, but leaking the video wasn’t me,” he added. “I have no clue how that got out… I’m owning up to it full effect and just taking what comes with it.”
Azalea took to Twitter to publicly announce their breakup, revealing that she discovered Young had brought other women into their home while she was away, catching them on security footage.

She moved out of his house, and although there were attempts to reconcile, Azalea ultimately expressed her inability to rebuild trust in him through an Instagram post.
“I never had anyone’s car towed nor did I kick Nick out of ‘my’ house,” she tweeted. “The home belongs to Nick, I am the one moving. Thanks.”
In addition to the previous controversies, news emerged that Nick Young was expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend Keonna Green, leading to speculation that this may have contributed to his breakup with Iggy Azalea.
However, Azalea denied any knowledge of Young’s alleged relationship with Green, stating that she had never been informed by him about the pregnancy and discovered the news through E! News. Expressing her shock and disappointment, she remarked that this revelation felt like a second betrayal, leaving her uncertain about the true nature of the person she had been in love with all along.
“I have never even been told by nick that his baby mother is pregnant so if this is true I’m finding out via E news,” Azalea tweeted in July 2016.
“I find it baffling anyone would make the choice to bring a child into the world under these circumstances + want attention and $ for it,” she added.
“I feel like my body was just drop kicked out of a plane with no parachute,” the “Fancy” rapper added a few days later.
