On top of that, she has also taken on a new role as a podcast host, “discussing everything from politics and feminism to sex and Tik Tok” on High Low with EmRata.
More recently, Ratajkowski added college commencement speaker to her extensive list of credentials after she was invited to deliver a commencement address to Hunter College’s Class of 2023.

Continuously proving that she’s far more than just a hot body, Emily shared an inspiring message to the graduating class while wearing a purple cap and gown.
She shared her experience of leaving college to pursue modeling, opened up about imposter syndrome, and emphasized the importance of celebrating an accomplishment.
On Dropping Out of College
The 31-year-old model attended UCLA for a year before dropping out to model full-time.
Reflecting on her decision, she recalled: “I never made it to my own college graduation. I dropped out in the wake of the 2008 economic collapse, choosing the financial security I hoped modeling would bring over what I really wanted to do, which was to learn and to make things.”

“Modeling paid more than what my friends made working service industry jobs and I was terrified of being saddled with student loan debt. I also knew that my window for this opportunity was limited. Everyone reminded me that women have an expiration date. So I gave up on my education and instead focused on work.”
On Missing Out on Joy
Sharing a snippet of her speech on Instagram, Ratajkowski can be heard discussing imposter syndrome and urging students to celebrate such a significant milestone.

“It’s hard to celebrate myself, not as an imposter in a body, but as a soul deserving of joy. And I bet a few people here feel the same way. So, if you can’t celebrate yourself, maybe do it for others; for the friends and family that greeted you when you returned home after your long day, who listened to you complain about your workload and your schedule, who encouraged you when you were filled with stress and hopelessness—for the loved ones who fill this audience, who can remember when you first had the idea to try and get this degree and cheered you on when you were sure you’d never make it.”
“The people in your life who love you are a precious gift; treat them as such, enjoy them as such, celebrate with them.”
