Louis Vuitton has started embracing bolder aesthetics since Nicolas Ghesquière hopped on as the brand’s new creative director in 2013.
After this major decision, there have been a lot of significant changes in the label’s style. The French luxury brand has now become a lot braver in its creative directions and it seems to be paying off.

One of those bold changes? Bringing Jaden Smith on for a campaign.
The son of actors Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith is known for being oftentimes controversial for defying gender norms by wearing basically whatever he wants.
Ghesquière explained that Jaden represents a new generation more focused on style than gender norms.

The 17-year-old actor and model starred in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, where he proudly wore an edgy skirt ensemble from the collection.
Aside from Smith’s bold look, we also got to see a fresh new print for Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2016 bags. The print features a completely new look, combining the familiar flower monogram with chain links printed all across epi leather.

While this spring print is a lot bolder than the classic ones, it definitely stands out more while still remaining true to the label’s aesthetics.
