While discussing her upcoming album with Hits Radio, Katy Perry commented on Kanye West’s decision to run for president.

“What we’ve learned looking back is that the presidential job is best suited for someone with experience and that is a pro in their field,” Katy answered when asked if she’ll support the 43-year-old rapper in the upcoming presidential elections.

“I love Kanye, he is amazing,” Katy added about her decision not to back Kanye West. “I just, you know, I love him as an artist. And I think he’s an incredible disruptor as an artist and a conversation-maker as an artist. And that’s what I love the most about him.”

The 43-year-old rapper and entrepreneur tweeted on July 4, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION.”

In January 2011, another eye-catcher at the People’s Choice Awards was Katy Perry.

Although Katy wearing something out-there was more expected unlike Maggie Q’s black pumps, she still managed to top even herself and looked absolutely adorable in this colorful Betsey Johnson Spring 2011 frock:

It seems like Katy Perry was going for a more mature look there for a while, but I’m so happy that she decided to go back to her quirky, crazy, colors-on-acid style.

It’s a style that isn’t so common in Hollywood – and certainly not among women at the age of 25 – so it’s nice to see a celebrity who CAN pull it off wear it to a prestigious event, like Katy Perry at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

Katy Perry’s frothy, purple, and turquoise strapless dress was topped off with lovely triple-platform peep toe satin pumps in fuchsia from Casadei.

This particular bow-front, peep-toe style, and the color isn’t out yet, but you can shop for Casadei shoes (on sale!) at Farfetch and score a similar nude-colored satin pair over at Casadei.

As many of you already know, Casadei is a premiere Italian shoe brand so the prices are hef-ty (the cheapest pair goes for around $500 at regular price!). So in order to get Katy Perry’s look for a lot, a lot less, try these satin pumps from Pour La Victoire:

These are from Pour La Victoire’s bridal and evening collection but its prettiness is just begging to be worn outside of formal events! These don’t have the chunky platforms like on the Casadei shoes, but the adorable bows, the luxurious colors, and its current $90.00 price tag (it was $147.00) make it a great alternative.

Another great low-cost alternative is this pair of pumps from Luichiny:
