On Sunday at the King Charles III Coronation Concert held at Windsor Castle in England, Katy Perry radiated in a custom Vivienne Westwood ballgown inspired by the 18th century.

The 38-year-old international pop sensation stepped onto the stage, exuding baroque-gilded glamour, in a stunning gold metallic leatherette gown with a sculpted bodice, plunging neckline, draped sleeves, and an enormous skirt with a long train that flowed behind her.

Perry’s hair was pulled back, displaying her golden cherub earrings, making her a vision of elegance and sophistication. The footwear designer’s heels were hidden, but the singer likely slipped into a pair of golden pumps.

In front of 20,000 members of the public and guests, including the newly crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla, Perry wowed the audience with two of her hit songs, “Roar” and “Firework,” dedicating the latter to the charitable work she and the king are involved in through the British Asian Trust.

This charity, founded by King Charles in 2007, is committed to eradicating poverty in South Asia. Perry was chosen as an ambassador on behalf of the UK’s Children’s Protection Fund to help the British Asian Trust in fighting against child trafficking after performing at a charity event in 2018.

Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, attended the event. Meanwhile, Prince Louis missed the concert after having a full day at the coronation on Saturday.

After singing the first song, the American Idol judge thanked the audience and said, “Thank you for having me at this coronation celebration.”

She continued, “I would like to dedicate this next song to the King and to the work we get to do together for the British Asian Trust and the Children’s Protection Fund. Thank you for bringing out the fireworks in so many young people.”

Hugh Bonneville served as the event’s emcee. Katy Perry was one of the many artists who performed, including Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Take That, Freya Ridings, and Alexis French.

The Coronation Choir, which included members from choirs around the United Kingdom, including refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ choirs, and deaf signing choirs, also sang in the program.

Perry’s golden appearance was the ideal complement to the custom Vivienne Westwood ensemble she wore on Saturday for the coronation ceremony.

She donned a custom lilac short-sleeved jacket with opera gloves and a matching pencil skirt made of soft leatherette from the Vivienne Westwood fabric archives.

Orlando Bloom’s baby mama accentuated her ensemble with the designer’s bespoke lilac headpiece and a granny frame purse.

She completed her ensemble with Vivienne Westwood’s three-row pearl bas-relief choker and Dorina clip earrings, adding a touch of glamour to her outfit at the historic event.

Alongside British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, Perry was seen arriving at the momentous ceremony at Westminster Abbey among the 2,200 attendees, where she initially had some problems finding her seat.
