Fans have always admired Keira Knightley’s ability to surprise with her style. You never quite know what she’ll wear next, but you can be sure it will stand out. Her latest look was no exception.

At the London special screening of her new film, The Woman in Cabin 10, Keira looked like a vision of Victorian glamour with a modern twist. She wore a mustard-yellow dress fresh off Erdem’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway, presented just earlier this month in London, paired with equestrian-inspired boots from Lili Curia’s debut Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.

The look seemed to reflect the mood of her new film, which premieres on Netflix on October 10. Just like the story, her dress mixed opulence with intrigue.

The Woman in Cabin 10, directed by Simon Stone and also starring Guy Pearce, is a psychological thriller based on Ruth Ware’s 2016 novel of the same name. It follows journalist Laura “Lo” Blacklock (Keira Knightley), who’s covering the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise through the North Sea.

What should have been a glamorous assignment takes a dark turn when she becomes convinced she’s seen a woman thrown overboard. With all crew and passengers accounted for, no one believes her, forcing Lo to investigate on her own while facing doubt, manipulation, and danger as she tries to uncover the truth.

Let’s take a closer look at her outfit.

Victorian Romance: Keira Knightley in Mustard Erdem Gown

Keira Knightley stayed true to her fashion DNA. While she’s long been a Chanel muse, she often turns to Erdem when she’s stepping outside the luxury fashion house, and this time was no different.

She wore a mustard-yellow sleeveless gown from Erdem’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which was inspired by Hélène Smith, the Swiss medium from the late 19th century who believed she had lived multiple lives: “as a member of the French court, an Indian princess, and as a traveler among Martian skies.” From these imagined incarnations, the collection explores the multifaceted nature of femininity as something “expressive, fluid, and never confined to a single narrative.”

Knightley’s hourglass dress was made of sun-faded ochre denim decorated with spliced historical threadwork embroidery, crystal appliques, and intricate floral detailing that added a romantic, almost tapestry-like richness to the look. It was a clear reflection of the London-based label’s signature romantic aesthetic, often defined by historical silhouettes, painterly florals, and rich textures.

The contrasting white ruffled high collar and clean, tailored lines gave the gown a Victorian touch, while the earthy mustard color made it feel modern.

Equestrian Twist: Lili Curia Lace-Up Boots Balance the Look

Keira Knightley gave her Victorian-inspired gown a surprising equestrian twist. The dress was already glamorous on its own, but instead of leaving it purely romantic, she mirrored the runway styling by adding an equestrian-style belt. It not only highlighted her tiny waist, but it also added structure and a touch of ruggedness that balanced the softness of the gown’s floral design.

But the real twist came from her footwear. Instead of delicate heels, Knightley anchored the look with the “Isadora” lace-up boots from rising London label Lili Curia, a brand making waves with its Victorian-meets-rebellion aesthetic.

From its Fall/Winter 2025 debut, the equestrian-inspired style stood out for its craftsmanship, featuring supple dark brown Italian leather, squared toes, bold silver eyelets, and striking white laces that ascended the shaft.

The result was a perfect balance of grit and glamour — a statement in step with the label’s theatrical alter ego “Lili,” which celebrates women who mix eras and moods with fearless ease.

At first glance, the pairing seemed unconventional, but upon closer examination, the contrast was striking. The equestrian boots tempered the gown’s sunny romance with edge, giving the look a sharper sense of power and character.
