Roofman is a biographical crime comedy based on the true-life story of Jeffrey Manchester, a convicted spree robber and former non-commissioned officer in the Army Reserve. He is known as the “Roofman” for his unusual method of breaking into McDonald’s branches through the roof. He’s infamous for his prison escape, where he hid underneath a prison bus before vanishing into the walls of a vacant Circuit City store next to a Toys “R” Us.

Channing Tatum takes on the lead role, with Kirsten Dunst portraying Leigh Wainscott, a Toys “R” Us employee who becomes Manchester’s love interest. The movie is scheduled for release on October 10.

While she may play an ordinary worker on screen, Kirsten on the red carpet was anything but. Let’s take a look at her outfit choice.

Kirsten Dunst’s Polka-Dot Valentino Gown Defines Red Carpet Elegance

Kirsten Dunst struck that perfect balance of looking striking yet effortlessly elegant at the Roofman premiere. She chose a strapless black gown from Valentino’s Resort 2026 collection, and the design’s subtle intricacy was just breathtaking.

The strapless dress accentuated her figure elegantly. It had a fitted bodice that was beautifully ruched in a way that hugged her slender frame. Around the waist, a tie detail cinched everything in before cascading into a long sash that trailed gracefully at her side, creating a fluid, romantic touch.

But what truly caught my eye were the prints. The bodice, sash, and bow were dotted with oversized tonal polka dots and tiny colorful flecks, like stars scattered across a night sky. It was whimsical but still so refined.

From there, the dress transitioned into a tulip-shaped wrap skirt with an asymmetric hem, adding a modern flair. It was decorated with the same large tonal polka dots, but this time punctuated with oversized lily motifs. The contrast between the playful dots and the romantic florals might have been too much for some, but it came off as well-balanced and artistic.

The simplicity of the look was exactly what made it so powerful. It was minimal yet commanding, effortlessly balancing classic sophistication with a contemporary edge.

Romantic Beauty and Minimalist Jewelry Complete the Look

Since the dress was already detailed, Kirsten decided to keep her accessories minimal. She wore the Sophie Bille Brahe “La Beauté” necklace, crafted from 14-karat recycled gold with a single freshwater pearl. It was resting on her collarbone, perfectly complementing the elegance of her gown. She also wore gold earrings, along with a few rings for extra sparkle.

Her beauty look was soft and timeless. She wore subtle smoky eyeshadow and a delicate flush of blush paired with pink lips. Her hair was glamorous yet relaxed, with one side pinned to the back and the other flowing in soft waves over her shoulder, framing her face beautifully while adding to the overall feminine charm of her look.

Finishing Touch: Aquazzura “Talk to Me” Sandals Add Modern Glamour

To finish, Kirsten stepped into the Aquazzura “Talk to Me” sandals, which complemented her Valentino gown well. Priced at $895, the strappy heels were crafted in Italy from supple black suede and featured slim straps that wrapped delicately around her feet, curving into a slingback design.
