On October 15, 2012, Kristin Chenoweth stepped out in New York City for the “Toast to Survivors” luncheon at Alison Eighteen, an event held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Broadway star embraced the occasion’s theme with a vibrant Barbie-pink dress and equally playful accessories, serving a look that was as spirited as it was stylish. More than a decade later, her feather-trimmed Christian Louboutin pumps still stand out as a perfect example of her fun-loving approach to fashion.

In a customary pink, Kristin accentuated her dress’s Barbie-pink color with equally girly accessories.

She wore sparkling jewelry, carried a white clutch emblazoned with the word “love” in pink. The American singer/actress showed off her pretty feet in black, furry, feathery, and feminine shoes.

Kristin Chenoweth’s footwear of choice that evening was none other than Christian Louboutin’s whimsical yet glamorous “Pluminette” sandals—a rare style defined by its feathered accents.

While Louboutin is best known for his iconic red-soled pumps, such as the “So Kate” and “Pigalle,” the “Pluminette” stands apart as a more theatrical creation.

Crafted from crepe satin with delicate plumes, the peep-toe design features a slender ankle strap and a soaring 120mm heel. Originally priced at $2,450, the shoes epitomize the house’s ability to merge fantasy with high-end craftsmanship.

The “Pluminette” may not be as widely recognized as Louboutin’s core classics. Still, it has graced the red carpet in memorable moments—most notably when Blake Lively paired the feathered sandals with a sharp Ralph Lauren tuxedo at the label’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2018. The playful detail of the shoes brought a feminine twist to her menswear-inspired look, underscoring how this design continues to resonate as both bold and timeless.
