Halley Bailey, who will star as Ariel in the upcoming The Little Mermaid live-action remake, told Variety that she does not pay attention to racist comments over her casting.

“I feel like I’m dreaming,” she shared while flaunting her legs in a Rhea Costa Pre-Fall 2019 mini dress at the Power of Young Hollywood party. “And I’m just grateful. I don’t pay attention to the negativity; I just feel like this role is something bigger than me. And it’s going to be beautiful. I’m just so excited to be a part of it.”

The live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” has not yet started filming and will be directed by Rob Marshall. The movie will incorporate original songs from the 1989 animated hit as well as new tunes from original musical director Alan Menken with lyrics by “Hamilton” composer Lin-Manuel Miranda.
“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role,” Marshall said in a statement.
Joined by her sister Chloe Bailey, Halle styled her sexy dress with barely-there ankle-strap sandals.

A few days later, the chic sisters also walked the blue carpet at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards in Hermosa Beach, California.

Halle rocked a chain jacquard cutout bodysuit from Jonathan Simkhai’s Resort 2020 collection ($395 at Moda Operandi) with yellow Resistance high-waisted silk tapered pants from the Zimmermann Fall 2019 collection ($795 at Moda Operandi).

The 19-year-old singer/actress styled her sexy bodysuit and pants with black Madelene platform sandals from Aldo Shoes.

Halle’s flawless platform ankle-strap stilettos are available in a wide range of colors.
