Popstar Lizzo stunned at the Met Gala, emphasizing the gilded in Gilded Glamor. Her black structured dress was covered by a hand-embroidered black and gold coat designed by American fashion designer Thom Browne.

“It took 22,000 hours to make this coat, I’m just so happy to be in it, I feel like a piece of art,” she said during the Vogue Livestream.

Though her coat and dress were beautiful and on theme, her accessories are what made the biggest splash of the night for Lizzo.

The unapologetic singer donned striking nail art, as was seen often throughout the night. Her black and gold nails were so long they led some to question whether she could still use her hands.

Lizzo, who celebrated her 34th birthday last month, also wore a gold choker necklace consisting of 37 neck bangles by Lorraine West, a Fine Arts graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology.

Another accessory she carried answered that question about her nails, though, as Lizzo brought a gold flute and played it on the red carpet, only stopping to look at Kim Kardashian, who walked the red carpet in Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday” dress.

Her 18K green gold Dryad’s Touch flute by professional flutemaker John Lunn retails for $55,000.

She performed Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune (L. 86), known in English as Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, a symphonic poem for orchestra by French composer Claude Debussy.

“So basically I’m gonna be opening everybody’s wine tonight so that’s why I got these corkscrew nails done. … I can wipe my ass with them, believe or not baby, I can wipe my ass I’m doing the things too. Hopefully, I can play the flute,” she said on the red carpet.
