Mila Kunis and Kerry Washington led the glamour at the Los Angeles premiere of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, both embracing neutral gowns and perfectly coordinated heels.

Standing on the black carpet at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, I couldn’t help but admire how their styles complemented each other.

The film is the standalone sequel to Glass Onion, released in 2022, and the third installment in the Knives Out series, with Daniel Craig returning as Benoit Blanc. Mila Kunis plays Geraldine Scott, a sharp, grounded local police chief, while Kerry stars as Vera Draven, a poised and brilliant lawyer.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is scheduled to hit theaters on November 26 before streaming on Netflix on December 12.

For the premiere, both actresses kept things simple but effortlessly elegant. Mila stunned in a cream satin gown by The New Arrivals, paired with crystal-trimmed sandals, while Kerry looked breathtaking in a brown Zuhair Murad gown and matching Rodo pumps.

Mila Kunis Radiates Bridal Elegance in a Cream Satin Gown & Crystal-Heeled Sandals

The moment she stepped onto the carpet, Mila Kunis radiated this soft, bridal elegance that instantly drew my eyes. She wore a cream satin gown from The New Arrivals, and I couldn’t help but think it would make the perfect understated wedding dress. The silhouette was clean and refined, and that simplicity made every detail captivating.

The sheath gown, called the “Noelie,” skimmed her figure beautifully. It was cut from a creamy-champagne satin that hugged her torso and highlighted her tiny waist before falling into a straight, floor-length column skirt. I loved how the princess seams subtly sculpted her upper body without looking too stiff.

But the real star, at least for me, was the neckline. The strapless sweetheart neckline was trimmed with tiny crystals that sparkled like a hidden layer of jewelry. It actually looked like a crystal-encrusted bra peeking through, giving the modest gown a playful yet glamorous accent. You can get this gown for $1,380 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Effortless Glamour: Crystal Accessories, Rosy Glam & Champagne Platform Sandals

Mila kept her accessories minimal, which made the dress shine even more. She wore long drop earrings and a few rings, including the $8,900 Kavant & Sharart “Twist Kaleidoscope” classic diamond cigar ring in 18k gold with 1.65-carat baguette and round diamonds, adding just the right touch of glitz to the look.

Her glam tied everything together. She wore smoky eyeshadow and eyeliner that highlighted her brown and green eyes, paired with a rosy blush and a nude pink lipstick. Her glossy brunette hair was swept to one side in cascading curls, adding a romantic softness to the entire look.

I couldn’t see Mila’s shoes at first, but when she walked, the gown’s rear slit revealed a gorgeous metallic pair that echoed the color of her outfit. They had sheer vamp straps covered in tiny crystals that sparkled with every step, peep toes that added a hint of flirtiness, and slim ankle straps that secured the shoes to her feet.

While the upper looked delicate, the thick platforms and towering block heels gave the shoes a sturdy feel.

Kerry Washington Stuns in Liquid-Chocolate Zuhair Murad Couture & Matching Rodo Pumps

Kerry Washington wowed me as she graced the red carpet in a chocolate-brown gown that beautifully complemented her complexion. The color had a rich, toasty depth, and I adored how the satin finish captured the light with a liquid sheen, giving the entire ensemble a dramatic, opulent appearance. I couldn’t stop staring at the way the fabric swayed as she walked!

Her gown came straight from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2025 Couture collection, and it had every bit of the glamour and meticulous detail the designer is known for. The strapless sweetheart neckline plunged daringly low, reaching her sternum, and was secured by jeweled clasps. Those glittering details didn’t just hold the neckline in place; they drew attention to the delicate ruching that fanned out from the bodice.

I loved the way the dress hugged her figure—fitted at the torso and hips before cascading into a softly pleated maxi skirt. It pooled behind her in a sweeping train, giving her a regal aura.

Understated Opulence: Smoky Quartz Jewels, Bronzed Glam & Sleek Chocolate Stilettos

Styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn kept her accessories smart and understated. Instead of a necklace, she wore a pair of dazzling Anabela Chan Quartz Cascade earrings, priced at $3,435. They were handcrafted in black rhodium vermeil, with a cascade of laboratory-grown smoky quartz that matched the rich tone of her gown. She added a few rings and painted her nails in a metallic bronze tone, giving her hands a refined shimmer.

Her hair was styled in voluminous waves with a soft side part, while her makeup leaned into warm tones, featuring smoky eyeshadow, bronzed blush that echoed the color of her gown, and a soft nude lipstick.

On her feet were the Rodo “Mia” pumps in the same chocolate-brown shade as her gown, which made the whole outfit seamless from head to toe. The pumps featured sharp pointed toes, adding a touch of modern edge, and sleek stiletto heels that gave her height while keeping the silhouette elongated and elegant.

And while the pumps themselves were understated, that simplicity completed Kerry’s outfit with a clean, polished finish that balanced all the drama up top.
