On December 13, 2015, Miranda Kerr appeared at two Swarovski events in Tokyo, giving shoe enthusiasts a closer look at how different pumps can completely change an outfit’s mood.

For a press conference celebrating her Swarovski jewelry collection at the Swarovski Ginza store, Kerr chose a nude embellished mini dress and coordinated it with delicate Gianvito Rossi “Elodie” lace pumps.

The combination created a soft, monochromatic look that allowed both the intricate footwear and the crystal jewelry to stand out without competing for attention.

She completed the ensemble with pieces from her Swarovski collaboration, a classic red lip, and a sleek center-parted bun.
While the jewelry marked the occasion, the lace pumps played an equally important role, echoing the dress’s light, feminine detailing and demonstrating why Gianvito Rossi’s elegant silhouettes remain a red-carpet favorite.

For her feet, Miranda chose the Gianvito Rossi “Elodie” pumps, which perfectly matched her dainty frock.

Her shoes are made of lace and feature suede trims, toe caps, and four-inch heels.

Later that evening, Kerr took a different approach for the Swarovski Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Sony Ginza building.

While she kept the same jewelry, hairstyle, and makeup, she changed the look’s tone with a printed Osman dress and a new pair of lace pumps from Jimmy Choo.

Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife wore the same jewelry, adding Swarovski double bracelets to the look for more sparkle.

She also sported the same hairstyle and makeup but switched out her shoes, opting for a pair of Jimmy Choo “Amika” pumps in matching navy-blue lace and leather, which were clearly visible under the mid-calf hemline of the dress.

The Jimmy Choo “Amika” pumps have since sold out, but they remain a notable example of the brand’s lace evening footwear from the mid-2010s.
Characterized by delicate lace-uppers, patent-leather trims, and a pointed-toe silhouette, the design reflected the romantic yet polished aesthetic that defined many of Jimmy Choo’s occasion shoes during the era.

Why Lace Pumps Remain a Red-Carpet Favorite
Miranda Kerr’s two Tokyo appearances showed why lace pumps continue to work so well with eveningwear. Whether paired with a crystal-embellished mini dress or a printed cocktail frock, the delicate texture adds detail without overpowering the outfit.
The same styling idea reappears on the red carpet, where lace heels can make a polished look feel softer, more romantic, and more intentional.
