In March 2014, two stunningly beautiful women—Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson — attended the European premiere of Noah.
Both ladies wore dark columnar gowns that made them look statuesque, elegant, and regal. They finished their looks with Christian Louboutin heels.

Jennifer Connelly’s Regal Lanvin Gown
Jennifer, who portrays Noah’s wife in the movie, slipped into a black floor-grazing dress from Lanvin that showcased a bit of leg.
“It’s a really epic, rich, I think, elaborate telling of this story,” the Jewish actress said in an interview on Good Morning America. “It’s like nothing Darren has done before.”
“What you’ll find is that the controversy that was generated [was] by people who were speculating [and] hadn’t seen the film yet, for the most part,” argued Connelly.

“We’re now getting feedback from religious leaders who have seen the film and are really embracing it and supporting it. I agree with you — while it is very creative and very bold and very complex, really, it’s true to the spirit of the story in the Bible.”
When principal photography began in July 2012 in southern Iceland, Jennifer Connelly was 41. She was born on December 12, 1970, in Cairo, New York, and celebrated her 42nd birthday on December 12, 2o12.
The star-studded cast includes Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Nick Nolte, Frank Langella, Logan Lerman, and Douglas Booth.

A Closer Look at Jennifer Connelly’s Red Carpet Style
Jennifer finished her dark ensemble with Christian Louboutin’s black suede “Leonor Fini” sandals. These d’Orsay shoes feature 4.75-inch-tall heels, asymmetrical vamps, and beautifully sculpted ankle straps.

Here is a closer look at the “Leonor Fini” in canary yellow, a style from the label’s Spring 2014 collection.

Emma Watson’s Navy Wes Gordon Ensemble
On the other hand, Emma wore a long navy Wes Gordon number decorated with cute bow detail on the back.

Portraying Noah’s adopted daughter-in-law in the movie, her non-Biblical character, Ila, was added to the movie adaptation. Born on April 15, 1990, in Paris, France, she was 22 years old when filming started in July 2012.
“None of the women are really spoken about in the biblical story. There wouldn’t have been any women in it. He had to adapt it for the screen,” Emma said in an interview about Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical film Noah.
“Darren does these very dark, very intense, very gritty, very real films. And then Noah is kind of –you see this guy with the long beard and there are the animals…You can’t really picture it,” the actress told the Associated Press.

Emma Watson’s Filming Challenges
After drinking a mug of dirty water on the movie set, she fell ill. Due to the director’s environmental concerns, Darren Aronofsky did not allow bottled water on the set.
“Because of the storm, Douglas [Booth] and I ended up shooting most of our scenes between 4 am and 7 am – and at that time I never function well,” Watson told Wonderland magazine.
“Because the film has a pro-environment message, Darren didn’t want anyone drinking from plastic water bottles on set either. So that made things slightly harder.”

“Everything we used had to be recycled or recyclable. Having no water bottles on set at five in the morning, when you’re exhausted and delirious, wasn’t ideal. I was so tired one morning I picked up a mug from my trailer and drank some stagnant water that had been there for the duration – so three months. I was so ill.”
“I came in the next day and was like: ‘Darren, I don’t think I can do this, I’m really sick,'” she said.
“He was like: ‘Use it for the scene.’ And I turned round to the bus and was like: ‘Is he joking? He is joking right?’ and there was deadly silence.”

The floor-length racerback-style dress had a chiffon overlay and simply cinched in at the waist, accentuating Emma’s slim figure.
The “Harry Potter” star wore her brown hair down and spiced up her dark look with bright red lipstick.

She kept the rest of her look simple and accessorized only with earrings and a selection of fun rings.

Emma Watson’s red-soled pumps were a little hard to figure out. We couldn’t determine whether they were the “So Kate,” the “Decollete,” or the “Pigalle.” Maybe you can help us ID the pair? Here they are:

Well, any thoughts? Taking a wild guess, we’re betting that they’re the popular “So Kate” shoes based on the shape of the toes and the way the arches curve.

Now that you’ve seen Jennifer’s and Emma’s outfits, here’s a question: who looks better in her long dark gown and lovely Louboutins — the more seasoned A-lister, Jen, or the up-and-coming British starlet, Emma?
