In celebrity parenting, it’s not unusual for stars to receive their fair share of comments and opinions from the online world. Paris Hilton, a proud mother and style icon, is no exception.

The 42-year-old American socialite and businesswoman recently faced a wave of criticism aimed at her son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, and she had some strong words to share in response.

On Thursday, October 19, Paris, who quietly welcomed her first child in January 2023 via a surrogate, marked her son’s first New York City experience by posting adorable pictures of her eight-month-old on Instagram.

She captioned the photos of herself and her baby, whom she shares with her husband Carter Reum, with the words, “My precious angel baby Phoenix’s first time in NYC. ✨👱🏼‍♀️👶🏼🗽✨.”

In the photos, little Phoenix was dressed head-to-toe in Burberry fashion, including a plaid top, slacks, and stylish little shoes, emulating his famous mother’s sense of style.

Meanwhile, Paris dazzled in a shimmering black gown, her makeup flawlessly done, as she sat on a white leather sofa with a white bunny in the backdrop.

It was a heartwarming family moment, but sadly, it attracted hurtful comments instead of the expected love and support, with some people criticizing her baby’s head size for no reason.

The unkind comments led to a TikTok video where a user defended Paris and her son, highlighting the exceptional care Phoenix receives and addressing the baselessness of the criticism.

Responding to concerns about her son’s head, the Supernatural actress replied to a supportive comment on the post with: “🥺😢There are some sick people in this world.☹️My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain.”

Paris Hilton didn’t stop at that. On Tuesday, October 24, she took to her Instagram story to share a heartfelt message to defend her son.

In the post, the wealthy hotel heiress expressed, “Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return.”

Paris defended herself, adding, “If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother, and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful. I’m a proud, working mom, and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic. I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember. Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life.”

Lastly, she shared, “It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.”

Before this controversy, Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, who tied the knot in late 2021, were spotted leaving their penthouse apartment in New York City’s Greenwich Village on Wednesday, October 18.

Nicky Hilton’s older sister sported a chic monochrome ensemble with a nod to ’90s fashion, donning a black long-sleeved shirt and matching track pants.

She added a pop of color with vibrant sneakers and partially concealed her face with oversized black sunglasses and a black Yankees cap.

While cradling her son in her arms, who was charmingly dressed in a colorful outfit and a cute koala hat, Paris also took a moment to snap selfies with her fans.
