At Chanel’s Fall/Winter show for Paris Fashion Week, the singer donned a long cardigan dress with buttons parted, revealing a braless torso and long legs and leaving little to the imagination of onlookers.

Rihanna wore a sheer maxi shirtdress with pearls, Chanel pumps, and a quilted Chanel handbag. The dress was nothing special, but how she wore it garnered attention — unbuttoned to the hilt to showcase lots of cleavage (note: she had no bra!) and lots of legs.
You could say Rihanna turned the Chanel dress into something almost equivalent to lingerie.

RiRi spruced up her oversized cardigan dress with layers and layers of beyond-gorgeous Chanel pearl necklaces to pay homage to the couture show, which undoubtedly cost an arm and a leg.
Rihanna’s pearl necklaces have very long strands and different diameters. Additionally, a couple of silver-toned Chanel logos are incorporated into the design.

The great thing about pearls is that they go with any outfit, from your favorite LBDs to even your most casual dresses — and, apparently, with ultra-revealing cardigans.
While we disagree with Rihanna’s outfit choice for the event, we think her floor-length Chanel shirtdress has excellent potential. It’s not a showstopper, but a maxi shirtdress is versatile. Depending on the occasion, Rihanna’s silky number can be dressed up or down. She might have earned more nods if she had worn it belted and a little more buttoned. Would you agree?
