Rumer Willis, the eldest daughter of actor Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore, announced in December 2022 that she and her partner Derek Richard Thomas are expecting their first child.
In an Instagram carousel, she shared with her followers, Rumer showcased her growing baby bump, which Thomas was seen kissing in one photo. She kept the caption short but sweet by adding a seedling emoji.

The news came just a month after they confirmed their relationship on Instagram following several months of dating.
Captioned with several emojis, Rumer, who has been rumored to have undergone plastic surgery, shared a set of romantic fall photos of them looking cozy and kissing outside her mother Demi Moore’s Idaho mansion.

On the February 9 episode of the Bathroom Chronicles podcast, Rumer opened up about her pregnancy and how she fell in love with Derek upon meeting him for the first time.

“He is an unbelievable musician. And I heard him open his mouth and sing, and I was like, ‘I love this man.’ I don’t know who he is, but the way that he was singing, the, like, heartbreak and the passion, and I was like, ‘I have to know this person.’”
She revealed asking a mutual friend more about Thomas, who she found out was in a relationship at the time.
“She was like, ‘Well, he’s in a relationship, and it’s serious; they moved in together.’ And I said, ‘Of course.’ Of course, my dream man. Snatched away.”
“And then I kinda waited and I thought, ‘I’m gonna let it go. Worst case scenario, maybe we can make some music together.’”

Months later, their common friend told her that Thomas was already single.
“So, then I started inviting him to things. But I was inviting him to, like, early morning activities and dates, which I come to find out he is not an early morning person.”
After spending time together, Rumer said she realized she found “my person.”
“I was like, ‘This is my best friend. This is so cool.’ It’s kind of been a bit of warped speed, but I feel so grateful.”

While it’s unknown when they started dating, Thomas celebrated Rumer’s birthday in August with a sweet Instagram post.
He shared a photo of them “jamming out to the Stones in London,” with the caption: “In the short time we’ve been together you have filled my life with joy and peace. Everything is just so easy with you. We sing, we dance, we play and most of all we laugh. Thank you for being you. You’re a magical human I’m so glad you came into my life.”

Who Is Derek Richard Thomas?
Derek Richard Thomas, who goes by his initials DRT, is an indie singer, songwriter, and producer. He was the frontman and main vocalist of the rock and roll band Vista Kicks until their disbandment in February.
Vista Kicks made their debut in 2017 with the album Booty Shakers Ball, followed by Twenty Something Nightmare in 2018. They have released one EP and four albums in total, including their fourth and final album, All Hail Vista Maries, with the musical duo The Hail Maries.
Among the band’s influences are Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Beatles, and the Beach Boys.

They have also performed at various events and have opened for the iconic British rock band The Rolling Stones and Grammy-nominated indie musician Phoebe Bridgers.
Derek Thomas Richard is also a producer for The Hail Maries, comprised of siblings Victoria and Makayla. He also serves as the president of his independent record label, DRT Entertainment.
