May is a special month for Marie Claire as it has bagged not three, not four, but five hot young Hollywood actresses to grace its covers. Lupita Nyong’o, Kate Mara, Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen, and Emilia Clarke each star in a different version of the cover of Marie Claire’s May issue.
Led by Lupita, the up-and-coming actresses celebrated the launch of their covers at Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces Party held in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The party was another fun shoe-spotting experience for us, and we selected three of the five cover stars among our best-heeled attendees. It would’ve been a five-out-of-five home run had it not been for two other actresses who showed up in super cute shoes we just couldn’t ignore. Do you think we made the right choice in dropping two of the cover stars in exchange for the two? Peruse our list below, and then let us know!
1. Lupita Nyong’o’s Christian Louboutin “Fifi” Pumps

After being bombarded with pointy toes, the rounded toes on the Christian Louboutin “Fifi” pumps almost seem old-fashioned. But they were just the right touch of classic sweetness to Lupita Nyong’o’s Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 dress with blue flower embroidery. Their pearly sheen even matched Lupita’s enviable glowing skin.

2. Elle Fanning’s Christian Louboutin “So Kate” Pumps

Dropping her quirky style for the night, Elle Fanning went for a blond bombshell look at the Marie Claire party. A Versace Fall 2014 satin dress in ruby red was her ticket to sexiness. And even Elle knows that there’s nothing better than the Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps when it comes to sexy-ing things up.

3. Kate Mara’s Rupert Sanderson “Rosanna” Sandals

Although Kate Mara was also dressed in a red dress and metallic shoes, she couldn’t have been more different from Elle Fanning. Her Dior tuxedo dress was menswear-inspired, and her Rupert Sanderson “Rosanna” platform sandals gave off an understated chic vibe rather than an in-your-face sex appeal.

4. Mena Suvari’s Dolce & Gabbana Floral Sandals

Mena Suvari knocked one of the cover stars off our list in her unbelievably fresh Sachin + Babi flutter crop tank and flower lattice maxi skirt ensemble. From the blown-out hairdo to the Dolce & Gabbana floral two-strap sandals, her look spelled summer.

5. Sarah Hyland’s Gold-Lace-Covered White Pumps

Sarah Hyland rounds out the top five in a white long-sleeved crop top, a pale pink Milly trumpet skirt, and gold-lace-covered white pumps. We need help identifying Sarah’s pumps—does anyone know who they’re by?
