There must’ve have been a shoe memo handed out prior to the Stella McCartney Autumn 2018 collection presentation because it seems like every other attendee was either wearing the label’s “Elyse” creepers or some close reiteration of them.
Apparently, Katy Perry didn’t get the memo but she’s always been one for doing your own thing.
As for the celebrities who showed up in the “Elyse” platform oxfords, we have to give them credit. Most managed to make their looks come across as unique, despite the fact that just about everyone was wearing the same pair of shoes.

1. Kate Hudson’s white chunky wooden-heel platform sandals
Kate Hudson didn’t wear the popular “Elyse” creepers, but her pair-of-choice did feature similar ripple platform soles.

With her now slightly grown-out pixie cut, the “Bride Wars” actress gave her white ruffled blouse and delicate-pink faux-leather jacket-and-skirt coordinates a modern edge.

4. Kate Mara’s burgundy-patent Stella McCartney “Elyse” creepers
Sporting a black short-sleeved blazer dress, Kate Mara could’ve gone with brighter-colored footwear but she went for the dark oxblood hue of the “Elyse” creepers instead.

The “Fantastic Four” star completed her look with a simple half-up ponytail, a chain-strapped black bag, and black nail polish.

A version with slightly higher wedge heels is currently on sale at Nordstrom.
