Marcia Gay Harden attended the Lifetime Winter Movies Mixer held at the Andaz Hotel in LA on Wednesday wearing some really weird side-flap shoes.
Instead of closed heel cups on her t-strap pumps, there are only two half-circles covering the sides of the feet. The backs are missing entirely, leaving the heels fully exposed.

Marcia’s strange shoes are the Malone Souliers ‘Imogen’ pumps that also made an appearance in the London-based label’s Pre-Fall 2018 capsule collaboration with Emanuel Ungaro.
While we’ve seen much more outlandish shoes before (hello, Lady Gaga’s freaky footwear), what’s trippy about Marcia’s shoes is that they’re seemingly trying to pass off as plain old t-strap pumps. They’re even made of white satin like they want to be thought of as bridalwear instead of the quirky shoe style that they are.

Marcia used the weird side-flap shoes to play up a black button-down shirt and a striped-ruffle-hem skirt from Sachin & Babi.

The Malone Souliers ‘Imogen’ pumps do come in other brighter colorways. The fuchsia and yellow one, in particular, match the shoes’ unusual design better, wouldn’t you agree?
