Famous for her signature fringe hairstyle, Zooey Deschanel is rarely seen without her bangs. An exception was the Costume Institute Gala for the “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” exhibition.
She hit the red carpet with a low side-swept bun in a one-shouldered Tommy Hilfiger striped gown.

In August 2013, Zooey opened up about her signature hairstyle, explaining why she (almost) always rocks bangs.
She told Glamour: “It all started at age two, when, at my very first haircut, the stylist lopped off the front of my waves into girly, face-framing fringe. I’ve had bangs for most of my life since. I was way more into doing my hair and makeup than my older sister, Emily.”

She added: “I’ve tried growing out my bangs a few times, but it’s never stuck. They’ve been styled into all sorts of shapes and lengths. Now I’m very specific about how they look and feel.”

In July 2019, Zooey was back with her signature bangs at the premiere of The Lion King at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California.

Toting a Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch, she was joined by her father, cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel, her mother, actress Mary Jo Deschanel, and her sister, actress Emily Deschanel.
She wore a polka dot Abodi Spring 2019 tulle dress and completed her look with Roger Vivier pumps.

In July 2012, Zooey hit the red carpet at the ESPY awards in a metallic-gold and silver sequined dress by Oscar de la Renta and matching Sergio Rossi heels. She carried an Edie Parker clutch and completed the outfit with Dana Rebecca Designs earrings.

The Oscar de la Renta gold dress was really dramatic and the red belt added an interesting touch.

While both the dress and heels were metallic, the other elements of her ensemble broke it up well. What is your verdict?

Zooey’s shoes feature a covered platform and heel with a cute peep toe. The softer gold of these heels complemented her bold sequined dress nicely. They’d work with other dress options as well.
I’d like to pair them with a black or bold cobalt dress. You could even style them with jeans and an embellished tank for a night out.
You can find Zooey’s “Cachet” pumps in many different color variations Farfetch and Zappos.
