Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pair of shoes worn so differently by three different women. The shoes? Giuseppe Zanotti‘s platform wedges in three different colors. The women? Drew Barrymore, Alexis Bledel and Rihanna whose personal styles couldn’t be any more different from each other.

Let’s start with the forever young Miss Drew B.

Drew Barrymore gave her Giuseppe Zanotti platform wedges a rock n’ roll edge by pairing them with a midriff-baring Marni black goat fur cape and Current/Elliott distressed black cargo pants.

She added a splash of color with silver cuff bracelets, fuchsia lips, dark nail polish and her signature ombre blonde hair color.

Love the touch of hippie chic that single hair braid adds to this edgy outfit. Drew Barrymore’s platform wedges are in fact navy blue. They just appear to be black in these under saturated pictures.

Alexis Bledel wore her Giuseppe Zanotti platform wedges when she was honored as one of US Weekly’s 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2010.

She went for a spring-themed outfit that night and chose a bright yellow color for her shoes and a cheerful floral print for her Stella McCartney silk dress.

Alexis Bledel is both girlish and ladylike in this ensemble. I love that she chose bold colors for her statement pieces (a deep navy blue for her clutch and a sunny yellow for her wedges).

Last but not least, Rihanna. I know I just said I love the bold colors Alexis Bledel chose for her ensemble, but Rihanna just went all out with this one.

The Barbadian singer fearlessly paired bright red, bright purple, bright orange, and metallic gold all in one outfit, making sure that you won’t miss her in a crowd.

Now that’s one brave outfit. Still, Rihanna is known for her crazy style so this could actually be tame compared to the rest of her closet!

So who wore the Giuseppe Zanotti platform wedges best for you? Drew Barrymore, Alexis Bledel or Rihanna?

These shoes, in the same shade of navy blue suede as Drew Barrymore’s, are available at Zappos:

I think the way the 5 1/2″ heel goes in towards the arch instead of straight down is really sexy. Makes the wearer look unbalanced but between the platform sole and the wedge, heel lovers know that they’re easier to navigate in that they appear.

Amazon has them in a pretty floral print and in leather material instead of suede:

Both shoes are $695.00 and $795.00 respectively. Steep prices, but what can we expect? They’re Giuseppe Zanottis!
