At the 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley demonstrated why she is a perennial fixture on best-dressed lists.

Following her engagement to Jason Statham earlier that season, the English model and actress arrived at the Barker Hangar in a look that perfectly balanced high-fashion minimalism with timeless glamour.

Clad in a monochromatic ensemble, she utilized the event to spotlight both her new 5-carat Neil Lane diamond and a masterclass in Saint Laurent styling.

The successful supermodel stepped out in a head-to-toe Saint Laurent look by Hedi Slimane, anchoring her low-cut black gown and studded clutch with the house’s iconic “Jane” sandals.

A fixture in Saint Laurent’s footwear lineup for over a decade, the barely-there stiletto has endured thanks to its minimalist two-strap design and leg-lengthening effect—an understated, Parisian-chic “blank canvas” that lets the rest of an outfit shine.

While her engagement ring was a Neil Lane original, the model turned to Anita Ko for her additional jewelry pieces.

After dating for five years, Jason Statham reportedly proposed to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with a $350,000 5-carat Neil Lane–designed ring. They met on the set of Transformers in 2010.

“Jason wanted something perfect and flawless, and he kept coming back to this one,” jewelry designer Neil Lane told People StyleWatch. “He knew it was right.”

From one of Neil Lane’s archival collections, the engagement ring features a round diamond from the early 20th century.

“Jason was truly excited when he found the right ring for Rosie, and he was so delightful to work with,” Neil Lane added, “You can see the joy and happiness when they’re together.”

If you love how Rosie styled them, you’ve seen why the Saint Laurent “Jane” sandal has stayed a red-carpet staple for years: it’s the ultimate barely-there “blank canvas” heel that works with everything from sleek minimalism to full glam.

On YNS, we’ve also spotted the Jane on Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Keke Palmer, Heidi Klum, Vanessa Hudgens, Christina Milian, plus a trio-style moment featuring Ashley Madekwe, Bella Hadid, and Salma Hayek—proof that this slim, leg-lengthening silhouette can read equally “quiet luxury,” edgy, or classic depending on the look.
