She wowed the audience with her Saturday Night Live performances over the weekend. Miley Cyrus was tapped as the musical guest for the episode, which Tesla CEO Elon Musk hosted.
Kicking off Mother’s Day 2021, the 28-year-old singer sang a cover of her godmother Dolly Parton’s Light of a Clear Blue Morning during the cold open, with clips of SNL cast members with their moms. At the end of the song, everyone surrounded Miley, who was also joined by her look-alike mother, Tish.

Later that evening, Miley and 17-year-old rapper/singer The Kid Laroi performed a remix of their new collaboration, Without You, for the first time live.
She belted out the song in a furry purple coat worn over a Left Hand LA Slasher Tank and custom patchwork denim jeans. For the first time in SNL’s 46-year history, Elon Musk’s episode was live-streamed internationally via YouTube in more than 100 countries.
Liam Hemsworth’s ex-fiancée also appeared in a Mars-themed sketch with Elon Musk and Pete Davidson before closing out the evening with a performance of Plastic Hearts from her same-titled seventh studio album.
She traded her rock-chic outfit for her final song for a flirty semi-sheer pink feather dress from 16Arlington Spring 2021.
Miley’s Bold Street Style at The Bowery Hotel
Before her SNL appearance, Miley Cyrus greeted fans outside The Bowery Hotel in New York City. The teen popstar-turned-rockstar embraced the rock-chic look in a black-and-white outfit as she headed to the SNL studio.

She wore an oversized black pinstriped jacket with padded shoulders and an ankle-length hem from Japanese designer Junya Watanabe’s Fall 2021 collection.
Underneath her chic coat, Miley wore a plain white tee tucked into a pair of black cropped trousers.

Keeping the rocker-chic theme of her look, the Hannah Montana star layered several necklaces around her neck and added multiple gold hoop earrings.
She styled her tresses in a punk-style Mohawk ponytail and hid her eyes behind Dior Vintage ‘80s sunglasses.

Carrying a black-and-gold Fendi Peekaboo studded bag in one hand, Miley rounded out her look with a pair of Gianvito Rossi “Sharyon” ankle boots.
These patent ankle boots showcase a lace-up front, revealing side cutouts, pointed toes, and sleek 4-inch stiletto heels.

Miley Embraces a ‘70s Vibe Ahead of SNL Performance
A day before her SNL performance, Miley was spotted outside her hotel in a ‘70s-inspired look.
She flashed her abs in a white distressed crop tee paired with two-tone baggy pants featuring forest green color on one leg and khaki gray on the other. Adding her signature eclectic style, Miley layered her outfit with a blue fringe jacket.

The Midnight Sky singer didn’t skimp on accessories, wearing layered necklaces, hoop earrings, and statement rings.
She also accessorized with black square-framed sunglasses and covered her nose and mouth with a black face mask during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wearing a shaggy blonde hairstyle, Miley completed her look with her Fendi studded bag and a pair of chunky black lug sole Horsebit loafers from Gucci.

These shoes are made from shiny leather and feature the fashion house’s horsebit buckle detail on the vamps, a golden bee embroidery on the rear, and about an inch of rubber-lugged soles.

Mixing Punk and Glam for SNL Rehearsals
Miley was also seen leaving the hotel en route to her SNL rehearsal on Thursday. She went retro in a ‘70s-style John Galliano one-shoulder floral dress that fell a few inches above her knees.

Going a little overboard with the accessories, Miley wore statement rings on each finger, a pair of $495 Jennifer Fisher Double Twisted Lilly hoop earrings, and bracelets that included Jennifer Fisher’s small and medium chain-link cuffs and an Ivi Slot cuff.
She styled her blonde mullet into pigtails and completed her look with full glam makeup, hidden beneath her Celine Fragola sunglasses. To match her retro vibe, she carried a Gucci Psychedelic Swirl bucket bag for her essentials.

For her feet, Miley added extra inches to her height with a pair of Gucci Isle patent leather sandals. These sold-out sandals feature three straps across the toes, adjustable ankle straps, and 4.5-inch thin heels.

Punk-Rock Vibes With a Vivienne Westwood Twist
That same day, Brandi Cyrus’s younger sister was spotted returning to her hotel in a punk-rock outfit. She also donned a Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock sleeveless top tucked into a Mac Andreas red tartan mini skirt by the English fashion designer.
Looking very ‘90s, Miley drew further attention to her slim pins by wearing black fishnet tights, which she styled with a laced white garter.

She wore the same jewelry and added a chain-link backpack to her punk look. Beauty-wise, Miley wore shimmering smokey eye makeup and covered her mouth and nose with a black face mask.

With her blonde tresses styled into a messy pigtail bun, Miley rounded out her ‘90s look with black velvety shoes with oversized bows across the vamps.
