Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink is busy proving she’s a versatile actress as she takes on a new role in the psychological drama, The Whale, which premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on Sunday.
Set to be released theatrically on December 9, the Darren Aronofsky-directed movie follows a 600-pound middle-aged English teacher, Charlie (played by Brendan Fraser), on his mission to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter, Ellie (played by Sadie Sink), after he abandoned her and his wife for his gay lover.

The Whale premiere brought together an all-star guest list, but Sadie Sink managed to stand out in an Alexander McQueen Resort 2023 gown.
Marking her Venice Film Festival debut, the 20-year-old actress looked every inch the movie star in a sparkling blue gown.

She flaunted her toned midriff in the custom number that features a cutaway waist, a strapless bandeau top, and mesh paneling.
It also comes with a layered powder blue tulle skirt attached to the crystal-embellished metal harness around the hips.
Stylist Molly Dickson finished off Sadie’s revealing outfit with a Chopard diamond snake ring and a pair of black patent platform heels.

Giving mermaid vibes, Sadie had her copper tresses styled in waves over her chest by celebrity hairstylist Halley Brisker.
She then wore glittery periwinkle eyeshadow, mascara, and soft pink lipstick, applied by makeup artist Nina Park.

Earlier, Sadie Sink opted for another Alexander McQueen Resort 2023 design as she attended the photocall for The Whale.
She wore a white cotton poplin shirtdress with a full midi-length skirt and a sleeveless top with waist cutouts.

Adding a tough-chic edge to the classic summer silhouette was a black leather harness overlay that’s studded with silver-tone grommets.
When it came to her glam, Sadie wore minimal makeup and styled her long mermaid waves into a half-up, half-down style with face-framing bangs.

With the help of her stylist Molly Dickson, Sadie toughened up the look with a sculptural silver ring and a pair of black leather platform boots, also by Alexander McQueen.
These $1,390 ankle boots have rounded toes, side zips, and 5-inch block leather heels.

On Monday, Sadie opted to embrace summer’s nautical trend as she made her way to the Hotel Excelsior.
Going for a head-to-toe Gucci, the American Odyssey star wore the $2,800 “Maxi GG” cotton jacket featuring a maximalist version of the classic GG monogram. It also has blue trims, gold-toned GG buttons, peak lapels, and front pockets.

Sadie cuffed her pants at the hem to show off her Gucci “Keyla” platform sandals that you can buy in white at Saks Fifth Avenue and in black and snake print at Nordstrom.
