Alison Oliver and Indya Moore stole the spotlight at the GQ Germany Men of the Year Awards in Berlin, and I couldn’t stop staring at their shoes.

Their dresses were undeniably gorgeous—Alison in her clean, modern moss-green JW Anderson dress and Indya radiating bold, sculptural glamour in a gray Gucci outfit—but it was their footwear that really sealed the deal for me. Both women chose pairs that didn’t just complement their outfits but amplified them.

Let’s take a closer look at what made their fashion choices stand out.

Alison Oliver Elevates JW Anderson Velvet With Ballet-Inspired Fetico Heels

Alison Oliver, who reunited with her Conversation with Friends co-star and Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn at the event, won me over with this look. I have to admit, her JW Anderson dress was stunning, but it was her shoes that truly pulled the outfit together.

Ballet-inspired footwear has been one of this year’s biggest trends, and Alison tapped right into it with shoes by Fetico, a Japanese brand known for its classic designs that highlight the feminine silhouette. Her shoes captured that aesthetic perfectly, blending the grace of ballet with a modern edge that complemented the dress’s softness.

Crafted in China from smooth cow leather, they featured a delicate V-shaped strap across the vamp that looped around her ankle and fastened with a silver buckle.

The keyhole cutout introduced a hint of allure, while the demure kitten heels subtly elevated her 5ft 6 (167.6 cm) stature. Finished with squared toes, the pumps reimagined the classic ballet silhouette with a contemporary, sculptural twist.

Inside Alison Oliver’s Sculptural Moss-Green Velvet JW Anderson Dress

Alison teamed the shoes with a moss-green velvet midi dress from JW Anderson’s Resort 2026 collection, and I loved how it balanced softness with a subtle architectural structure. The bodice was fitted, with a plunging V-neckline and thick shoulder straps. But the skirt is where things got interesting. It had this sculptural volume right at the hips, like hidden built-in panels that pushed the silhouette outward before falling into a soft A-line skirt!

The velvet gave the dress a rich, dimensional quality, and the hem was accented with tiny buttons on each side, adding a tailored finishing touch.

Minimalist Tiffany & Co. Accents and Soft, Romantic Glam

For accessories, Alison kept things minimal. She wore gold Tiffany & Co. Knot pieces, including a delicate necklace resting at her collarbone, a set of matching $4,400 earrings, and a coordinating $2,900 ring. The Knot was not only inspired by an archival bow crafted in 1889, but it also mirrored the wrapped straps on Alison’s shoes. These pieces were set with diamonds, adding a hint of sparkle.

Alison’s hair was styled in undone waves, parted off-center, and her makeup stayed soft with pink cheeks and lips.

Indya Moore Commands the Red Carpet in Gucci Croc Mules & Sequined GG Stockings

Indya Moore, who was honored as Woman of the Year at the 2025 GQ Men of the Year Awards and named one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2019, wore a quietly commanding look from Gucci’s Resort 2026 collection. But the real magic began at her feet.

Her stockings instantly drew my eyes. They were nude and dusted with silver sequins that formed the house’s iconic GG monogram. They added this subtle sparkle that made the look even more striking.

Indya paired them with nude croc-embossed leather mules, also by Gucci. They were sleek and structured, with a wide vamp strap that gave off a retro, sculptural vibe. They also featured an open-toe design and an open back, keeping them casual and comfortable.

Ruching, Feathered Cuffs & Fluid Contours Define Indya Moore’s Gucci Look

She wore the shoes with a ruched gray bodycon dress that hugged her curves so tight it looked like it was molded to her. The ruching wasn’t just decorative; it created beautiful texture and contouring, as if the gathered fabric was designed to enhance her figure.

While the silhouette was striking, those dramatic, feathered cuffs, which were like soft, cloud-like plumes circling her wrists, added an instant dose of theatrical charm. They brought a little extra drama and playful touch to the otherwise simple silhouette!

Indya kept the rest of her look simple, which I admired. She wore only a pair of sculptural gold earrings that framed her face without competing with the outfit’s drama. She then carried a silver clutch that added just the right amount of shine.

Her makeup followed that same delicate direction. She wore metallic rosy tones on her lips and cheeks that felt fresh and effortless. And her curly pixie cut? Perfect. It kept everything modern and cool!
