Tom Ford, the celebrated American fashion designer and film director, turns 53 today. Ariana Grande recently wore one of his styles to the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, and she’s just one of the many Hollywood celebrities who are fans of Tom Ford’s eponymous label.

Kate Moss wore one of his gorgeous ankle-strap sandals to an event in São Paulo last year. She styled the black patent leather heels with a black vintage rhinestone-trimmed dress and accessorized with a turquoise-stone-pendant necklace and a mirrored clutch.
