However, their journey together had its initial bumps. In fact, their first meeting was somewhat awkward. Despite this, they have defied the odds and have been going strong as a couple since 2015.

Let’s delve into the intriguing details of Chloe Bridges and her relationship with Adam DeVine and explore the unexpected moments that led to their profound love and eventual marriage.

How Chloe Bridges and Adam DeVine Meet

Adam DeVine, who stands at 5 feet and 6 ¾ inches (169.5 cm), and Chloe Bridges, who is 5 feet and 4 ½ inches (163.8 cm) tall, crossed paths in 2014 while on a flight bound for Louisiana to start filming for the movie The Final Girls.

Born on November 7, 1983, in Waterloo, Iowa, DeVine was 31 years old, whereas Bridges, born on December 27, 1991, was a youthful 23-year-old.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Adam DeVine revealed an amusing anecdote about their initial encounter.

Unaware of Bridges being his co-star, he only discovered this truth once they got off the plane and found themselves seated together in a car.

The 39-year-old humorously admitted, “We met on a plane. We were shooting the same movie, but I didn’t know that because I’m an idiot who doesn’t read emails. But Chloe is a smart person who reads emails, and she knew who I was. So she’s trying to chat me up, and meanwhile, I just think, ‘This babe is hitting on me!’ And I was a little overwhelmed. I had a girlfriend at the time.”

He continued, “And then we land, and I realize we have the same driver to take us from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you’re in the movie!’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, what did you think?'”

Their connection blossomed while working together on The Final Girls set. The couple embarked on a romantic relationship shortly after in February 2015, and they made their first public appearance on the red carpet in September of that same year.

During an entertaining episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, DeVine playfully reflected on his appearance when he first met Bridges. He jokingly described himself as “not hot” then but expressed gratitude for meeting her during his “plumpest state” before getting in shape for a film.

DeVine remarked, “I feel like Chloe also doesn’t care if I’m in the best shape.”

The topic of starting a family arose during the podcast conversation. When asked about their plans for children, DeVine responded with a tentative “maybe” before confirming his desire to have kids, saying, “Yeah, I’d like kids.”

Bridges reciprocated the sentiments with her heartfelt post, exclaiming, “We are doing it!! I love this man with my whole heart and I am so excited to be with him forever.”

Reflecting on their extraordinary journey, she fondly reminisced, “I’ve known we had a special connection since we first met (well FIRST I liked the way his butt looked in his jeans and the way he made me laugh and the fact that his backpack was monogrammed which seemed VERY adult to me five years ago) and I quickly learned that he is the kindest, funniest, most incredible man I’ve ever met. I’m so proud to be his girl and will be even prouder to be his wife.”

In an interview with Us Weekly in August 2020, Chloe Bridges openly acknowledged, “I knew that I liked him, and we just seemed kind of incapable of staying apart from each other.”

Recalling the event, the 31-year-old shared, “I don’t know if this is too personal, but the moment I knew he was The One was actually during a disagreement we had early in our relationship. He said something along the lines of, ‘We got to figure it out because breaking up is not an option.’”

The impact of his words resonated deeply with Bridges, leaving her with the conviction that their relationship would succeed. “I was like, ‘Wow, I really respect that.’ I think that’s an attitude he got from his parents’ successful marriage. No matter what happens, you stick it out. You figure it out.”

A Journey of a Lifetime Began at Their Wedding

After a heartwarming engagement in October 2019, DeVine and Bridges were eager to exchange vows at a different venue. However, fate had a different plan in store when the unexpected arrival of the pandemic in 2020 disrupted their plans.

Originally planned as a grand affair with 200 guests in Orange County, the couple adopted their vision due to the venue’s postponement of events.

In January 2021, Bridges shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing the couple’s resilience in the face of adversity, writing, “Back at the beginning of October I posted that we had finally locked down a wedding venue and a date and were pretty proud of ourselves…. But since then, that venue has canceled all 2021 events, so it’s back to the drawing board!”

She continued, “Is planning a wedding during a pandemic a lost cause? Possibly! But we’re still plugging away – masked up and came to Mexico to start planning something smaller, later, more margarita-full, and (God willing) post-vaccine/safe/covid-free.”

Their journey was challenging, as DeVine and Bridges experienced breakthrough COVID-19 infections a few weeks before the wedding. Thankfully, they completed their quarantine period and, along with their guests, tested negative the day before the ceremony, allowing their long-awaited day to proceed safely.

Against all odds, on October 9, 2021, DeVine and Bridges exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony at Esperanza in Mexico. Surrounded by the stunning vistas of Cabo San Lucas, the dreamy location provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Among the attendees were DeVine’s beloved co-stars from Workaholics, including Erik Griffin, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson, and his fellow Pitch Perfect cast member Rebel Wilson. The ceremony was officiated by the comedian Adam Ray.

Although their wedding did not unfold as initially envisioned, the atmosphere was brimming with joy and love. Surrounded by their cherished family and friends, the three-day fiesta was a delightful blend of tacos, tequila, and open-mic speeches that evoked laughter and tears of joy.

After privately savoring the precious moments for a few months, the couple shared their memories with their adoring fans in December of the same year. Eager to relive the magic, they posted multiple heartwarming photos on their social media accounts.
