After two divorces, Eva Longoria found love in her 40s with her third husband, José “Pepe” Bastón.
The now 47-year-old married the Mexican businessman in 2016, and the couple has been happily married ever since. Her marriage is thriving, and she credits her previous marriages for the health of her relationship.
Longoria on jealousy in her previous marriages
The Desperate Housewives star spoke to Chilean author Isabel Allende on her podcast Connections about her married life.
“I think jealousy takes up such an amount of energy,” Eva said during the podcast. “I remember being so jealous and like, your stomach is inside out. It’s the worst feeling. Why would anybody want that feeling?”

She is, of course, referring to her two previous marriages. Longoria was married to Tyler Christopher, a soap opera actor, from 2002 to 2004. Their relationship was conducted under a lot of secrecy, and no one seems to know how the couple met.
Although much in love, the couple had a very turbulent two-year marriage and divorced in 2004. The couple shared a significant height difference, with Longoria measuring 5′ 2″ (157 cm) and Christopher’s height of 5′ 10″ (178 cm). Christopher is two years older than Longoria and is now 49.
Longoria said, “He was a lovely man, but I was very young. I didn’t know who I was, and I was still struggling as an actor. I was a terrible wife.”

She later married retired NBA sports star Tony Parker in 2007. The couple met in 2004 after a Spurs game. She filed for divorce in 2011 after discovering texts from another woman on his phone. It’s been speculated that she cheated on JC Chasez with then-San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker.
The actress shared a significant height difference with her basketball player husband, who measured in at 6 feet 2 inches tall (1.88 m). Parker is seven years younger than Longoria and is now 40 years old.
Longoria on her marriage to “Pepe”
“I found Pepe when I was 40, and he was 50,” she continued talking about jealousy on her Connection podcast. “It was just like, ‘Can we just enjoy this life together?’ I mean, I do yell at him for the toothbrush or something like that still.”
The star married Bastón, now 54, in 2016. The pair share a four-year-old son, Santiago Enrique. Bastón also has three daughters from his previous marriage to Natalia Esperón. With a height of just 5 feet 8 inches, he’s the shortest of her three husbands.

In a 2017 interview with People, Longoria explained how she and her husband didn’t hit it off right away. A mutual friend introduced the pair in 2013, but it wasn’t a match to start off.
“I was getting out of a bad relationship, and he was getting out of a relationship, so there wasn’t a connection,” she said. “We had a pleasant conversation, but there was no real connection.”
Meeting “Pepe” for the second time
Six months later, the same friend set them up again, and sparks flew. “I had no memory of meeting him the first time, but we had immediate sparks. It was like the cliché angels singing and there was a glow around him and it was immediate chemistry.”

Longoria spoke about her second meeting with her husband. “He was the most handsome man I’d ever seen,” Eva said while describing their second shot at the meeting.
“He was so charismatic, charming, sweet, and funny. I thought, ‘Who is this guy?!’ He is probably one of the first men I’ve dated that has been older and established and, basically, a grown-up.”
The couple got their happy ever after when they married in a star-studded wedding three years later in Valle de Bravo in Mexico. As they say, third times the charm.

In May 2016, Eva Longoria looked sensational in white as she posed up a storm at the Global Gift Gala held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris.
The then-41-year-old popular actress flaunted her famous curves in a figure-flattering gown from David Koma’s Resort 2016 collection.
The dress’s white hue perfectly highlighted her glowing tan, while the sexy split on one side showcased one of her enviable toned legs.

Her floor-length number also boasted sequin embellishments at the thigh and bust, adding just enough sparkle to the already stunning look.
The “Telenovela” star glammed up the look further with Messika jewelry and a pair of silver strappy sandals. She also put her engagement ring back on after mentioning that she left it in Mexico.
Eva wore her center-parted hair down and completed her look with sultry makeup, which included smoky eyeshadow, dark eyeliner, and nude lipstick.
