Elle Fanning served up some mystery as a Hitchcockian femme fatale on the red carpet for the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood premiere during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday in Cannes, France.

The 21-year-old actress and festival jury member rocked a 1950s-inspired custom Dior Haute Couture outfit, which took 450 hours to make.

She wore an ivory-hued slightly see-through shirt featuring long bishop sleeves with a midnight blue tulle skirt.
According to Instyle, “200 hours were spent on the skirt alone — which required 50 meters (164 feet) of tulle — and 150 were spent on the shirt.”

Looking like an Old Hollywood movie star, she completed her look with a black wide-brim macramé hat, Chopard jewelry, and black pointy-toe pumps that looked like they were borrowed from her grandma’s shoe closet.

Dakota Fanning, her older sister, also hit the red carpet in a sumptuous Giorgio Armani Privè dress and Chopard jewels.
Two days earlier, Elle turned heads in a strapless mixed print floor-length dress when arriving at Kering’s Women In Motion Awards during 72nd Cannes Film Festival on Sunday night. She wore a Dior gown, a Chopard watch, and Prada shoes.
