On March 18, 2014, the Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City hosted the premiere for the fourth season of Game of Thrones.

The event served as a notable snapshot of mid-2010s red carpet style, featuring minimalist silhouettes paired with classic luxury footwear.

Emilia Clarke arrived in a black belted halter dress from Donna Karan’s Fall 2014 collection. The design used a handkerchief hemline and a low neckline to create a classic profile. She paired the look with retro-style curls, Fred Leighton jewelry, and black ankle-strap heels from Manolo Blahnik.

The petite actress chose the “Chaos” sandals from Manolo Blahnik, a staple design featuring adjustable ankle straps and a slender covered heel.

These sandals have a versatile history on the red carpet, previously seen on Jennifer Lawrence during the promotional tour for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Molly Sims also attended the premiere, opting for a cutout racer-back maxi dress from the Alice + Olivia Spring 2014 collection. The ensemble contrasted a white sleeveless bodice with a black high-low skirt.

Sims used the occasion to debut a strawberry blond hair color, styled in loose waves. To finish the outfit, she selected gold accessories and a pair of black lace-up heels that complemented the architectural lines of her dress.
