When Knives Out hit theaters in 2019, it became an instant pop-culture phenomenon — part sharp-witted whodunit, part couture-worthy character study.

Its success didn’t just revive the murder-mystery genre; it paved the way for Netflix’s record-breaking $469 million deal to secure two sequels with director Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc.

By the time the follow-up, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, arrived on Netflix in late 2022, it had evolved into more than a film release — it was a full-blown fashion moment.

Shot on a sun-drenched Greek island and anchored by an ensemble cast that included Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Edward Norton, and Kathryn Hahn, the movie blended intrigue with resort-chic aesthetics worthy of any red-carpet runway.

Director Rian Johnson has said the title was inspired by the Beatles’ 1968 song “Glass Onion,” a fitting metaphor for a story — and a wardrobe — built on transparency and layers.

And while critics dissected the film’s twists, style watchers couldn’t look away from its dazzling premieres, where the cast turned each appearance into a lesson in statement dressing and high-glam footwear.

The Almost Famous star showcased her toned arms and abs in the daring number that featured a gathered purple bustier top with a multicolored sequin-embellished halter neck strap and a matching sash belt with a large center knot.
