Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens have got a number of things in common right now: both were in New York recently, both attended an event that had a pink carpet, and both got into the fall spirit by wearing velvet dresses.
Who do you think between the two looked more va-va-voom in velvet? Check them out below.

Julianne Hough brought old Hollywood glamour to the QVC 20th Annual “FFANY Shoes on Sale” Gala last Tuesday in a midnight blue panné velvet gown by Marc Jacobs.
She resisted the temptation to go dark and heavy with the hair, makeup, and accessories and instead went for a modernized finger-wave hairdo, pinkish red lipstick, and a simple tassel necklace. We guess she didn’t feel the need to overdo it because the dress was already doing all of the work — check out that sexy, super-low back!

A couple of days later, Vanessa Hudgens also donned a slinky velvet dress to the ULTA Beauty “Donate with a Kiss” event to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Styling everything according to her signature bohemian style, Vanessa rocked ombre hair, a long feather necklace, and a turquoise beaded cuff bracelet.
Vanessa completed her boho look with a sparkly Edie Parker clutch and suede Alice + Olivia “Dina” pumps (available at Shopbop), both in pink, in keeping with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s pink theme.
