Yes, yes, Keira Knightley did recycle this Chanel Spring 2006 Haute Couture number and used it as her wedding dress.

So what if she did? The fact that she’s a high-profile celebrity who just pulled out a dress from her closet for a city hall wedding ceremony attended by only 11 guests actually endears her all the more to us!
It also makes us deeply admire her oh so casual and low-key style, especially in this day and age when couples are pressured to have Pinterest-perfect weddings.
This marked the third time that she was spotted wearing this pretty frock, but the dress looked different every time.

It was modified into a perfect holiday party dress by adding a beautiful sheer overlay and intricate embroidery on the collar and cuffs.

In an interview with The Telegraph, she revealed that her wedding dress from the luxury clothing brand was destroyed during a party.
“It’s now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend went like this”—she juts out her elbows—”and now it’s everywhere. I didn’t quite realize the extent of it until I got home. It’s quite impressively splattered. But, hey, a good night is a good night, and when a dress has had its time, maybe it’s had its time. I’m pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can’t, I’m happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed.”
