Celebrity style icons Kendall and Kylie Jenner added “authors” to their résumés in 2014 with the release of their debut novel, Rebels: City of Indra – The Story of Lex and Livia. The second book in the series, Time of the Twins: The Story of Lex and Livia, was released in 2016.

On June 4, 2014, they made a promotional appearance on Good Morning America before heading to a book signing at Barnes & Noble in New York City—dressed to turn heads in true Jenner fashion.

They later signed copies of their novel, ‘Rebels: City of Indra – The Story of Lex and Livia’ (available on Amazon), at Barnes & Noble Union Square. The book focuses on two super-powered girls who embark on a journey together.

For the book signing event, Kylie sported the same lace-up ‘Amazon’ sandals by Aquazzura that she wore to the iHeartRadio Music Festival last year. She styled them with a sleeveless dress by Bec & Bridge, an Australian fashion label founded by Bec Cooper and Bridget Yorston in 2003. Kendall wore a strapless black bustier dress with matching shoes.

In a candid interview, Kendall acknowledged the collaboration, saying, “We obviously can’t write a sci-fi novel on our own.” According to the publisher, the story originated “from the minds of Kendall and Kylie,” though Sloan handled the actual writing.
