Bulgarian-born, New York-based Gio Metodiev is behind the Gio Diev label. He started on the public relations side of fashion but found the call of the creative/design side too strong to ignore.
Instinct told him to head to Northern Italy, where he studied and practiced the shoe-making process on the factory floor. Self-taught and self-funded, he was eventually successful in producing the first Gio Diev shoe collection, which includes the “Nikko II” pumps seen on Kerry Washington.
