The 15-year-old actress won the awards for Outstanding Performance by a Youth and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the ABC show black-ish and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance in Motion Picture for Little.
“Thank you to all the beautiful black girls out there who inspire me every day,” said Martin as she took the stage to accept her honors.

Beating out the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae in the Best Supporting Actress category, the following day Marsai also attended the 2020 NAACP Image Awards held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.
