Naomi Watts, a proud mom of a trans daughter, attended the Dior Pre-Fall show in New York City on Monday with her youngest child, Kai, as her plus one.
The stylish mother-child duo, dressed in white outfits, graced the front row among a star-studded list of attendees, joining the likes of Karlie Kloss, Rachel Zegler, Michelle Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Alexandra Shipp, and Charlize Theron, who brought along her 7-year-old daughter August.
I was amazed at how strikingly similar Naomi and Kai appeared as they arrived on the red carpet for the photocall before the runway show. Naomi Watts held hands with her youngest child, who turned 15 in December, as they posed for photos, demonstrating their close relationship.

The 55-year-old Feud: Capote vs. The Swans actress was glowing in her pristine white midi dress, which I assume is from Dior’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection—perfectly encapsulating her preference for classic, feminine elegance and outfits in neutral tones.
I love her white dress’s chic, sophisticated silhouette. It has long sleeves, which she later rolled up, and a wide, cinched waistband that falls into a flowing midi skirt with delicate pleats. It has a plunging V-neckline, yet it still appears sophisticated and modest.

Keeping It Elegant with Gold Jewelry and Soft Makeup
Naomi, synonymous with grace and timeless elegance, didn’t skimp on accessories. Her stylist, Jeanann Williams, paired her look with sparkling gold jewelry, which I adore, showing that a simple white dress can be a perfect blank canvas for dazzling accessories.
She layered a tennis necklace and a long chain necklace with statement pendants around her neck and fastened a pair of dangling earrings to her ears. In addition, she adorned her manicured hands with statement rings, which included a large black ring on one hand and a silver and onyx ring on the other.
The King Kong star kept her makeup subtle to maintain her elegance. Makeup artist Mary Wiles accentuated her blue eyes with mascara and eyeliner, enhancing her natural beauty with a peachy blush and a swipe of pink lipstick.
Marki Shkreli styled her shoulder-length blonde hair straight, parted in the middle, and tucked behind her ears.

Harmonious Black and Gold Accents
Making sure she had her essentials on hand, Naomi carried the small Dior “Jolie” bag in black Cannage calfskin to complement her black and white ensemble. Created as a part of the French fashion house’s Summer 2024 collection, I like how it blends style and functionality.
It has a double flap with a CD gold-tone logo punctuated by a white resin pearl. It can be carried by hand, draped over the shoulder, or worn crossbody with the detachable chain strap with CD signature links adorned with white resin pearls.
A pair of Dior fishnet sandals in black and gold with thick platforms and heels gave her 5’4.5” height an extra lift. These are delicately fastened to her ankles with buckled straps, featuring fishnet uppers with peep toes and gold leather accents.

Chic and Feminine: Kai Schreiber in Floral Sweater and Midi Skirt
Samuel Kai Schreiber chose a beautiful flowery ensemble that matched a white pleated maxi skirt with an ecru knit sweater with the same butterfly and floral patterns.
She wore the $2,600 ecru and red cashmere knit sweater embroidered with Pietro Ruffo’s Le Cœr des Papillons motif. Featuring a bouquet of flowers and butterflies, it captured the essence of love and romance as Dior imagined.

Kai teamed her feminine top with the matching $2,900 white cotton denim pleated skirt, designed with Pietro Ruffo’s Toile de Jouy Mexico motif of butterflies and traditional Mexican flowers.
Both pieces are interesting to me; it’s just that I don’t like the ecru and white combination. She could have made the ensemble work by wearing an ecru skirt or a white top instead.
Styling with Black and Gold Accessories
Like her mom, Kai opted for gold and black accessories. She wore a pair of gold hoops, peeking through her golden tresses, a delicate star pendant necklace, and a gold wrist chain.
Kai further accessorized her ensemble with matching black suede pumps featuring laser-cutout vamps and carried her essentials in a black velvet purse embellished with glittering crystals.
Looking like a spitting image of her mom, Kai chose to accentuate her blue eyes with mascara and subtle pink makeup.

Kai is the youngest child of Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber. Their first son, Sasha, was born in 2007.
Watts and Schreiber split in 2016 following an 11-year relationship. In July last year, Watts announced her marriage to Billy Crudup. The following month, Schreiber tied the knot with former beauty queen Taylor Neisen, with whom he shares a daughter, born in August 2023.
