Ever worn a pair of shoes that actually fit the moment? I don’t mean just matching your outfit—I mean shoes that feel right for the occasion. Christmas-themed sneakers in December, something playful for New Year’s, green for St. Patrick’s Day. You know what I mean.
Nike is one of those brands that usually leans into themed releases, and for Valentine’s Day, they’ve done it again with a special Air Force 1 Low. Not only that, but the sports giant’s subsidiary brand, Jordan Brand, is also gearing up to release its own Valentine’s offering with the Air Jordan 1 Valentine’s Day Pack.
Nike Air Force 1 Low Gets a Textural Valentine’s Day Update
While I’m not into themed shoes, the texture on these AF1 Lows captured my attention. Instead of the usual smooth leather, this Valentine’s Day special release is made of woven jacquard, covered in tiny heart patterns that stretch across the entire upper, from the toe box to the heel. It definitely embraces the Valentine’s theme, but the tonal execution keeps it from feeling too loud.

One of my favorite details is the removable heart-shaped silver pendant. It hangs from the laces and features a small keyhole in the center, which feels romantic and not cheesy.
If that’s not your thing, you can take it off, but I personally like how it adds charm. Nike added more quiet details on the inside. The inner tongue tag reads “Love Is in the Air,” and the insole features a cherub graphic with a bow and arrow.

Nike first introduced this Valentine’s Air Force 1 Low in a Triple Black colorway, which I really liked. The all-black version feels sleek, understated, and easy to wear year-round—and let’s be honest, not everyone wants pink or red for Valentine’s Day.
But the brand later unveiled University Red and Pink Foam colorways for those ready to fully embrace the Valentine’s mood. What elevates all three versions is the disciplined monochromatic approach—each shoe stays within a single tonal family from upper to sole, resulting in a look that feels intentional, refined, and surprisingly versatile for a themed release.

The Nike Valentine’s Day collection 2026 will be released on January 14. It will be available through Nike’s official channels—most notably the Nike SNKRS app—as well as select authorized retailers, including Nordstrom and Zappos.
The Air Jordan 1 Valentine’s Day Pack Takes a More Subtle Approach
If the all-over hearts on the Valentine’s Air Force 1 feel a little too sweet for your taste, the Air Jordan 1 Valentine’s Day pack offers a different kind of romance—one that feels more grown-up and understated. I actually like this better. It still plays into the Valentine’s theme, but in a calmer, more balanced, and truer-to-the-Jordan-1-DNA way.
The pack includes two silhouettes: the Air Jordan 1 Low and the Air Jordan 1 Mid. The Low comes in a deep red colorway, while the Mid comes in softer pink tones.

The red Air Jordan 1 Low is my favorite of the two. It looks sleeker and more refined, especially for a Valentine’s release. The upper is mostly red leather with nubuck overlays that add depth without breaking the monochromatic look.
Compared to the heart-covered Air Force 1, this style feels more sophisticated. It clearly celebrates Valentine’s Day without overshadowing the classic silhouette. The subtle Valentine’s touch, aside from the color, comes from the tiny kiss stamped on the Jordan Wings logo at the right heel.

Air Jordan 1 Mid: Softer Pink Tones with Layered Contrast
The Air Jordan 1 Mid takes a softer approach. This version features a pink leather base with darker red overlays, creating a chic contrast. Unlike the Low, this pair isn’t entirely monochromatic. The off-white midsole and tongue tag break up the pink and red, giving the shoe a cleaner, more styled look. This version also includes two kiss graphics: one on the left heel and another on the medial collar of the right shoe.

Both the Low and Mid come with custom red insoles covered in all-over kiss graphics, and even the packaging leans into the theme with kiss-mark prints.
