At just fifteen months old, the eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West set a high bar for toddler street style, proving that high-fashion influence starts early.

While the appearance was a milestone for the family, it was the trio’s coordinated “all-black everything” aesthetic—and their choice of rugged footwear for a luxury event—that captured the industry’s attention.

Kim revealed to Yahoo! Style that North West’s first fashion show appearance was actually a last-minute decision. “She started to cry when we were walking out the door,” Kim said of North. “And we couldn’t leave her. So, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing.”

For an unplanned outing, Kanye, Kim, and North’s all-black outfits were very coordinated. Mr. West wore a black velour sweatshirt and a pair of ripped jeans; Mrs. West was in a Balenciaga turtleneck, peplum pants, and pointy pumps; and Nori was in a daddy-approved Yeezus tour sweatshirt, a leather skirt, leather leggings, and Timberland boots.

The Balenciaga show was just the beginning of their high-fashion marathon. The following day, for the Lanvin Spring/Summer 2015 presentation, the couple opted for a more daring approach. While Kanye again showed off his knees in ripped jeans, Kim left little to the imagination in a feather-fringe miniskirt by Lanvin paired with a black blazer coat from the same brand.

The outfit was completed with a pair of black suede “Anouk” pumps by Jimmy Choo.
