We love a versatile shoe that can take us from day to night. Usually, those day-to-night shoes are wear-with-anything sandals such as the Stuart Weitzman “Nudistsong” or the Saint Laurent “Jane.” So, it was a bit refreshing to see Olivia Palermo transition a trendier shoe from daytime-to-nightfall.
Olivia schooled us on eclectic pairing while out in Italy for the Milan Fashion Week.

Olivia picked the Gianvito Rossi “Augusta” shoes, which are a velvet pair of lace-up ankle sandals that are reminiscent of gladiators. We can see how this transition would be hard to pull off, but Olivia did it flawlessly.
Olivia showed off her day look as she paired her “Augusta” heels with a printed midi dress by Giamba Paris. The fashionista styled the look with a Meli Melo “On the Go” snakeskin splatter clutch and white-rimmed sunglasses.

Olivia Palermo switching up to a nighttime look at the Versace show during the Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 in Italy on September 24, 2016
Olivia stepped out later that evening for the Versace show in a look that was more fitted to the romantic Milan nighttime.
The 30-year-old wore her Gianvito Rossi “Augusta” heels with a Versace open knit alpine sweater paired with a zipper-trimmed leather skirt. Olivia kept her Meli Melo “On the Go” clutch with her nighttime Versace look.
Like we said, flawless. Either we’re not pushing ourselves enough stylewise, or we’re not Olivia Palermo. We think it’s the latter.
